Spica can vouch for that ;) Spica 19:15, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
I can provide 40+ more examples of Andy using the word, if someone wants to wade through them for more examples of the two uses. --jtltalk 19:49, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
- No one should have to do that... one of each is enough, I think. As it is, it spoils the lulz to have assfly intrude on the article! humanbe in 19:58, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
- Who gods would destroy...oh, btw, do God's pee standing or sitting?--PalMD-yada yada 20:59, 9 June 2007 (CDT)
I think I found another wonderful example of the "fuck off" meaning. In fact, I think it might be even clearer than the John Smith one. Check it, yo! --Kels 07:05, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
- Yo, fo' sure - but isn't that more of a "neutral" than a directly "fuck off" meaning? Granted, the difference can be slight sometimes. --AKjeldsen 09:35, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
- I liked the "please create new entries off line" part. A bit like "please suggest your edits on the talk page" (so we can ignore them). Godspeed! humanbe in 11:56, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
- If it helps at all, I imagine him shouting it out loud as he types, sort of like Stan Lee and "Excelsior!" --Kels 16:04, 11 June 2007 (CDT)

Bohdan asks for permission to use the word. I didn't realize Andy had proprietary rights to it! --jtltalk 17:54, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
- I just noticed that. Does Bodhan not possess an irony gene? --Kels 18:22, 11 June 2007 (CDT)
hahaha, i had a good laugh reading this article :) --Graham 20:11, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

Wow, Sid, that is incredible! humanbe in 17:23, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah, I just noticed it by chance when I read through his page in one go. Kinda makes you wonder if he's got a special "Godspeed" button in his browser... --Sid 19:02, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- He wouldn't know how to make one, but if he did, he would caress it slowly and longingly, to orgiasmic excess. --PalMD-yada yada 19:05, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- Remember the "microsoft" keyboard (only had ctrl, alt & del keys)? How about the "assfly keyboard", with keys for "liberal", "deceit" (both wikilinked, of course), and "Godspeed!"? Oh, and a few percentage keys... on his "auto-calculate liberal bias odds" number pad. humanbe in 19:51, 18 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks, guys[edit]
I can't read it as anything but God's peed now. MyaR 17:10, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
- Excellent. The potion has taken effect. All you have to do now is lie back and enjoy the ride....
Pattern change[edit]
Is it just me, or has the frequency of Godspeeds gone down considerably recently? Maybe I'll have to use them more often just to compensate. Godspeed! --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 17:54, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
Actually[edit]
I think that Ashfly is using it in the standard sense. You can see this if instead of "go fuck yourself" you render it as "fuck off". Well, "may your journey be safe" and "fuck off" do have slightly different connotations, but the basic meaning is the same. --87.8.233.24 11:11, 17 August 2007 (CDT)
More Godspeeding![edit]
Determining Godspeed[edit]
Would User:K61824/sandbox2#Determining_Godspeed fit into this article? As a section or as a subpage? [[User:K61824|]][[User_talk:K61824|]] 23:57, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Subpage maybe? Is some of the math missing. like how you get from 1-v2/c2 to 1-v/c; and then a final figure for v? ħuman 22:49, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- final figure for v is awfully close to c (1 part in 1012) so the difference is less than 3 mm/s for the speed of light in 3x108m/s. That's primarily the reason I leave the answer in 1-v/c (more significant figures; besides, in theoretical physics units are usually normalized?) [[User:K61824|]][[User_talk:K61824|]] 05:40, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- But it's a mess, please at least address my concerns? Don't say "v is awfully close to c" here, calculate v, and compare it to c. ħuman 06:03, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Done. [[User:K61824|]][[User_talk:K61824|]] 06:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
