Would this perhaps find a better home at "fun:"? humanUser talk:Human 19:57, 7 January 2008 (EST)

Actually, is this being British or being English?--Bobbing up 14:10, 31 January 2008 (EST)
Oh man, when I looked at what the wikilink in point number 4 went to I almost choked on my sandwich. Nicely done. Lurker 14:31, 31 January 2008 (EST)

What about the Shipping Forecast, 'Play up, play up and play the game', 'To be born English is to have a first class ticket in life', tolerance, annoying the prophet (listen politely, and then go on as before)...

Looking at the "fossil record" I notice that the movement notice has been on the page for over 3 months. Is there a time frame for such thing? If it has elapsed could an administrator move the article? John Childermass (talk) 19:43, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

The Welsh and the Scottish[edit]

Not to mention the Northern-Irelanders, the three-legged ones and the ones from the bits of the Duchy of Normandy the French did not want back, take offense at being called English.

Also to include[edit]

  • Understatement
  • The class system - identified by the end of a single sentence.
  • Not minding rogues and rascals but not caring for cads, bounders and blackguards/blaggards.
  • Royalty, panoply and suchlike are A Good Thing (even if certain participants are 'a bit above themselves/too mouthy etc).
  • Saying one thing and by intonation saying something completely different - an example.
