This brings up the question...[edit]
Will this server change be like the RationalWiki 2.0 turnover, wherein the site had to be rebuilt from scratch? Or will the site merely have a temporary downtime while the data is moved to a new location? ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 15:46, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Why not both? ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 15:51, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- More of the latter. If things go smoothly and as planned, there should be very little downtime, if even any at all. --It's-a me, 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 19:06, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- There shouldn't be any downtime, unless I screw something up. The site will be read-only for a minute or two when I switch over the DB server. This server migration is pretty straightforward, unlike the MediaWiki upgrade, which is more likely to have user-visible impacts. But the MediaWiki upgrade is not happening today. -- Tim Starling (talk) 02:42, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
