RationalWiki talk:Statistics
Would anyone care if I co-opt this page tomorrow to put up graphs of all our sever side stats and the stuff from google? I find it interesting and want to share...but not sure if this is being used for something else. tmtoulouse pester 01:28, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
- Yes, I would mind very much. I hate your plan, and would be thoroughly disgusted if it is implimented. Bohdan 01:31, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
- Guess that means I will do it then. tmtoulouse pester 01:38, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
- You mean your not going to go cry over it? How much more rude do I have to be? Bohdan 01:42, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
- You have to work in some sort of personal insult at the same time, like last night. tmtoulouse pester 01:46, 31 August 2007 (CDT)
- Okay, how's this: I dislike your plan and.... you're ugly! Bohdan
- I probably should have said you're a "malignant tumor". Bohdan
- Good enough, I feel tears coming on......so I will go off and cry now. tmtoulouse pester 01:57, 31 August 2007 (CDT)

Richard C Hoagland[edit]
Very interesting. Looks surprisingly good to me. I didn't even know that we had an article on Richard C. Hoagland--Bob_M (talk) 15:02, 1 September 2007 (CDT)
- I am pretty happy with it, 600-800 unique visitors a day is not bad at all. I have never managed that before with any of my web projects! tmtoulouse pester 15:18, 1 September 2007 (CDT)
- Yes, it's not like we have that much publicity. (By the way, I assume that you're contrasting "your" web projects with "our" web project in the above. It depends on how you put the emphasis when you read it. :-) --Bob_M (talk) 15:23, 1 September 2007 (CDT)
- You're lucky I am reading philosophy papers about necessary and sufficient conditions or that would have confused me. But yes your assumption is correct :). tmtoulouse pester 15:35, 1 September 2007 (CDT)

So close[edit]
Oh, oh, I am excited, we are close to breaking the 90,000 "visits" in a month mark for the first time this month. We have all ready broken previous records for number of unique visitors, page hits, bandwidth, etc. tmtoulouse 19:57, 28 September 2008 (EDT)
- Trent is excited. I am about to break 30,000 edits, and 10k in the mainspace. Who cares who's reading ;) Anyway, be sure to announce it on talk:main and various intercom channels! Oh, and main page left! (Sorry, none of us can edit that..) ħuman 01:29, 29 September 2008 (EDT)
Pages per visit[edit]
8875308/607443 = 14.6+ - is that for real? Very high I'd have thought. ContribsTalk 01:14, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
- Translating page views and hits from server logs to wiki can be iffy because wiki software inflates pages and hit counts. For example, going to a talk page, editing, saving all register as 3 page hits. tmtoulouse 01:17, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
- Explains it. ContribsTalk 01:26, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
- Yah, wikis suck at tracking "real" traffic. ħuman 01:59, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
- Only two stats I follow are unique visitors and visits. Our CP boycott killed our August traffic, but other than that we are seeing a nice steady growth. tmtoulouse 02:07, 1 October 2008 (EDT)
