- 20:18, 29 March 2025 diff hist -101 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Luke Undo revision 2728125 by Edger Halogen (talk) yes that is true however that is not what is being stated in the verse. 1:5 is talking about Zechariah and Elizabeth not the two Herods. The notes for 1:6 is misinterpreting who "they were both" is referring to. 1:6 is calling Zechariah and Elizabeth righteous before God not the Herods. current Tag: Undo

It's not that "I don't like it" it's that it is not true. The proof for this is one source and it is not a scholarly source. If you are going to undo my undo please at least keep my edits for 1:12 and 14:3 Tag: Undo

- 19:00, 28 March 2025 diff hist -185 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Mark →Mark 5:9 Notes: So good up until that point. If we are looking at Mark and the Odyssey from simply literary point of view it is incorrect to call simple allusions and references in Mark "copying"
- 18:53, 28 March 2025 diff hist +20 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Mark →Mark 5:2 Notes: referencing and subverting a story beat is not "altering" Homer's story. we shouldn't be implying that Mark is just the Odyssey but replacing Odysseus with Jesus. It is derivative the same way TF2 is derivative of Quake. No one would say that TF2 is just a Quake reskin so we shouldnt imply that Mark is just an edited version of the Odyssey.
- 18:41, 28 March 2025 diff hist -1,037 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Mark →Mark 4:36 Notes: "Striking similarity" of people who are often on boat going and doing things? Mark is written in the style of Greek Hero stories but claiming that Mark is essentially ripping off the Odyssey is a bit farfetched

- 18:27, 28 March 2025 diff hist -108 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Mark →Mark 3:9 Notes: that is a massive leap in logic. A character in a story being on a boat often makes it an allusion to the Odyssey?

- 18:07, 28 March 2025 diff hist -199 RationalWiki:Annotated Bible/Matthew →Matthew 27:52 Notes: Saints means people who are within the body of Christ in the context of this passage. Since this passage is referring to the harrowing of Hell it is referring to the Jews who died under the Old Covenant. Do also remember that Matthew wasn't written the moment after all the things he writes about occurs. Matthew was put down in writing after Paul's letters which refer to saints in this way.

Also belief being the requirement for salvation is not "being born again" and is just the regular belief that almost all protestants hold to and is what sola fide means. requiring baptism for salvation would be considered requiring Works for salvation which protestants oppose. also to continue my last edit summary. what BoN argued was a no true scotsman
