2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

snakes[edit]

no-one is suggesting that dinosaurs evolved from snakes.--Thedoctor80 (talk) 16:27, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Oh No![edit]

To most fundamentalist Christians, this poor, extinct creature is just as bad as we liberals. Why? Because it is a bird, with scales, and this makes evolution look slightly credible! In conclusion, this bird was definitely an evil socialist. Probably supported tolerance, diversity, and all of the liberal propaganda!--Lefty (talk) 23:38, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Adding new evidence for Dinosauria having feathers - even MORE evidence against the argument that the Archaeopteryx was already a bird...[edit]

To anyone of consequence -

Is there anyone out there who may be able to provide a accurate synopsis/overview of the current evidence supporting feathered Dinosaurs?

And before anyone "Why don't you do it yourself"'s me, I am just an electrical engineer with no special skills in describing biology. I mean a true professional - someone who could make this a 100% valid article with accurate sourcing (to BOOKS as well as weblinks). — Unsigned, by: Tbird83ii / talk / contribs

Technically birds are dinosaurs, the line between them is so blurred its basically a door. Sandflapjack (talk) 21:00, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

By definition[edit]

... the term 'intermediate species' can only be applied after the event. Ditto 'extinct species.' 82.44.143.26 (talk) 16:54, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
