"Ministry"[edit]

Can it really be called a "ministry" when its membership probably consists of just Tom Carder? --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 13:12, 22 February 2008 (EST)

I'd say, yes - all it takes to be a "ministry" is to have a self-proclaimed "minister", I think. Also, right across the top of their main page, it says "the cap movie ministry" in a big ole banner. perhaps we should call it a "self-described ministry"? humanUser talk:Human 13:19, 22 February 2008 (EST)
Yah. Really, there's not enough snark on this page. --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 13:23, 22 February 2008 (EST)
I'd call it a ministry. It's an internet ministry, but it still qualifies. He has non-profit status with the IRS, solicits donations, receives donations, delivers sermons, and evokes Jesus Christ to support crackpot theories like calling someone a fool is a sin and parents shouldn't ever change their mind. Lest you know, kids start to think parents can be reasoned with. Actually, now that I think about it, maybe he's a more like a web cartoonist with tax-exempt status. Not K.I.T.T. 13:42, 22 February 2008 (EST)
No, that would be Jack Chick. : ) --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 14:06, 22 February 2008 (EST)

Thank you CAPalert![edit]

I really should thank Tom and his crazy buddies, for although I cannot remember how I discovered CAPalert, I do remember the enjoyment it brought me that boring nightshift as I searched (in vain) for a film with a green light. Then, one day, I asked a question (on yahoo! answers I think) about whether the site was real, or a piss-take. I was assured it was real, and also recommended to visit a little site of similar Poe-pushing madness, called... conservapedia! From there I discovered rationalwiki, and the rest is history.
