Talk:Christian pacifism
I think the article really short-changes "just war" theory. However, Catholics also make no pretense at being pacifists, so I don't see the point of having them in there at all. Researcher 13:50, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Reason for revert[edit]
Adjective calling the rapture silly was removed by an anonymous editor, and in absence of a credible citation determining the rapture to be silly, I think we should keep it out. Let the reader decide if the rapture is silly or not. ConservapediaEditor (talk) 02:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- You are on the wrong wiki my friend. - π 03:31, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- The rapture is so silly it's beyond silly - is stoopid. (silly implies some affection on behalf of the person describing something as silly, to me anyhoo) I am eating & honeychat 03:34, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
- I thought I did that, undid a lame removal of "silly". I'm still logged in, I doubt CE knows what she's talking about. ħuman 05:22, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I'm a Postmill Christian and I agree that the rapture is silly and "stupid", but I find the language used on this site to be very opinionated. I think you can make a statement that a group has a rapture view without expressing your dumb opinions. And believe me, you are dumb... I think you know that too.— Unsigned, by: 209.193.69.169 / talk / contribs
Sojourners[edit]
I disagree with the assertion that Sojourners is "probably pro-life and creationist". I've read them, off and on, for some time. If they're "creationists", it's from the "theistic evolution" standpoint, and in any case, it's not a focus of theirs -- social justice is their focus. As for pro-life, they generally take the "let's end abortion by creating a world where it's not needed" viewpoint, and not a "repeal Roe v. Wade philosophy." MDB (talk) 15:12, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

"Thou shalt not kill"[edit]
It's not kill. It's murder, implying that the victim is also living under the same laws. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that the Other is to be slaughtered, without hesitation -God even gets mad when the Israelites fail to complete their task of genocide. --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 18:47, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- Nevertheless, it's the KJV translation of the phrase as "thou shalt not kill" that has entered the popular consciousness (in the English speaking world). ΨΣΔξΣΓΩΙÐMethinks it is a Weasel 19:27, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
