...why not troll a bigger site?[edit]
'Cause a bigger site would either have rules in place that would shut him down more effectively, or he would get lost in the shuffle. RW is the perfect environment for his kind of trolling -- no consensus on how to deal with it, so the trolling creates discord, and it's so tiny that it's hard to miss. Researchers appreciate a bit of personal interaction with their archivists, I'm afraid. A lot of the job involves facilitating getting the material and the eyes together, which means dealing with people. Did he doubt/Or did he try? 15:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

I have nominated myself for moderator.[edit]
(copy-pasted from here)
I nominate myself as we should have at least 9 people running, to fill the seven spots and two alternates. I will use a "light touch", which is preferable for all involved. I know I'm relatively new here, so I'm not as familiar with the wiki as Mods usually are, on the other hand, I have no friends here, and won't play favorites. --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 16:10, 24 June 2013 (UTC)

Liberal bias[edit]
It's shocking to see how people on site with such name are fond of irrational labelling of reasonable rational people as "batshit crazy" or "islamophobe" or "racist". Here's one example http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Sam_Harris. Quotes were taken out of context to make him look racist(see talk section). After people ignored my criticism of quote mining I started debate http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Debate:Liberal_bias And again debate ended with labelling. Well if people aren't fond of finding the truth and labelling replaced their critical thinking why should I waste time to prove anything? Atheism and atheists are already in category of "islamophobia" and "racism". Sooner or later it will be added to those categories - I just making it happen now. — Unsigned, by: 50.117.80.143 / talk / contribs

- No, I think you are bunch of cruel politically correct fanatics. From site with such name people expect to see balanced objective articles but instead there's a lot of whiney bullshit. Extensive use of labels is direct result of ideologic purity rather than facts. And don't try to portray me as right-wing nut. As I said in debate I'm left-wing liberal who disgusted to see how ideology is becoming a dogma. Go to Sam Harris article, read it, read original quotes and say if that's not bias to call him a "racist". — Unsigned, by: 5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs
- NPOV can be found on Wikipedia. I'm not sure how "cruel" and "politically correct" go together, I though the point of being PC was to spare feelings. --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 21:55, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Do you think those edits I listed were helpful? Do you think your edits were helpful? --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 21:22, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Well if you don't find bias in accusing rational atheist as "racist" then I don't see problem either. I will continue labelling rest of atheists who criticize islam the same way.— Unsigned, by: 5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs
- Such edits are unhelpful, and I doubt you'll make friends this way. There are a great number of people Pissed at us, and they're often not on the same "team". Make of that what you will. --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 22:35, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Policy[edit]
I also thought it was policy not to delete contributions. Or, as it is on CP, these rules don't apply to top brass? It seems the unofficial policy is to appease Ken and his like--Mercian (talk) 18:12, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- "We do not condone vandalism of other wikis, and most of us feel quite strongly on that point". I meant "Don't egg the poor bastard on" as in "don't vandalize Conservapedia, thus encouraging him to make more shitty content". At what point does calling his posts "psychotic raving" sound like appeasement? --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 18:19, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- Secondly, one cannot delete contributions on talk pages. That's an article. Thirdly, I'm not top brass here -I'm a minor editor, and hold no "offices". --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 18:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have never condoned vandalism of any kind and don't with CP , although in it's case it would be more of a disaster clean up operation then vandalism. When he goes on with his unwarranted attacks of the UK, Germany(even suggesting the German people still follow Hitler's doctrine) and the Nordic countries as havens of bestiality, but refuses to acknowledge that these things go on the USA, where it is in many places legal, including the US Military, at the same time blocking and deleting any descent or disagreement, indirect methods need to be used to pull him up on his bullshit. If you are telling me to stop, I will do but that would not seem to be inline with Rationwiki's philosophy.--Mercian (talk) 18:28, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm glad you don't condone vandalizing CP. I find vandalism to be a massive waste of time. CP ignores attempts to actually improve the site, so I've never attempted vandalism, parody, nor even sincere pleas to stop making a site full of sheer garbage -after all, these actions merely reinforce the belief Conservapedia is doing the right thing!
- If you wanted to vandalize, you have every right in the world to do so -RW has no method of stopping you. I have no method of stopping you, and do not represent RW in any way shape or form, anyway. I interpreted your edit as a reminder of that, which was why I deleted mine and yours.
- Our two edits were cruft on a position the site has already settled: Ken deserves no special protection, and RW doesn't encourage vandalism.
- You are certainly well within your rights to mock Ken here -RW condones and encourages that. I believe it to be distasteful. I understand you dislike Ken, and his edits, and I agree with that. Ken writes ugly, awful things. There's something horribly wrong with Ken. Rest assured, anyone who reads Ken's essays and agrees with them probably has something wrong with them, as well. I might be an optimist, but I'm pretty sure Ken's audience is not nearly as receptive as we fear it to be. --TheLateGatsby (The end of the dock ) 19:11, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
