Talk:Civil disobedience
Suggesting a merger[edit]
I suggest we merge this article with the article on Passive resistance in order to generate a single, more expansive and more nouanced overall article? It woud allow us to "retype" both of them in a cohesive manner in order to produce something a lot more meaningful than what we have currently. Same suggestion posted in the talk thread for the Passive resistance page, directing discussion to this page. Civil disobedience being a form of passive resistance, I think the "new" article should be named Passive resistance and Civil disobedience be a redirect to it as such, with a subsection named Civil disobedience (if found apt). - If you want, you can use
{{dup}}
and make it a bit easier. I suggest that civil disobedience be the name of the article, however, because passive resistance is actually a form of civil disobedience. Passive resistance is targeted inaction against the law (civil disobedience), while civil disobedience includes violent and nonviolent means. oʇɐʇoԀʇɐϽʎzznℲ (talk/stalk) 21:07, 7 July 2015 (UTC)- Merged. Dumb insolence[edit]
Should there be reference to 'dumb insolence' and 'malicious compliance'? Anna Livia (talk) 18:27, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
