Monitors[edit]
before we start edit warring here as well, can we agree on what works on what monitors? Mine's 800x600. You? Totnesmartin 18:57, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

- Don't you mean 11 x 8.5? That's the standard letter size in America. Anyway, your monitor appears to be bigger than mine, so pictures side by side on mine cramp the text awkwardly, even though they look fine on yours. Please can we stick to vertical picture arrangement? Totnesmartin 19:40, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

- that'd work, let's do it - even if there are only two pics. I'll find some new age dolphin crap to upload, you make a loldolphin (a lolphin?). Totnesmartin 19:49, 8 March 2009 (EDT)
- Galleries for two or three pics look crap. We should only use gallery when we have a real reason to have a lot of pictures. WëäŝëïöïďMethinks it is a Weasel 20:12, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

- I have no reason to doubt him. This was a compromise plan. You are wrecking it. You are disruptive, and need to cool-off. Like myself. Excuse me while I go try to find something that needs doing. --<choose>

- Its a bad compromise since a gallery of three pictures just looks wrong. I'm not being disruptive. I'm stating my opinion. We are split 2-2 so we need more input. User:Mei 20:27, 8 March 2009 (EDT)
(unident) Yes, we do. But he is going to find more images, and if Mei would stop editing the felidae article for a sec, I'd find a lolphin. --<choose> <option>Input The ResistorOutput</option> <option>CoyoteOver 450 pages watched NOT including talk pages</option> <option>The Trickster</option> <option>Acionyx</option> 20:33, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

- You want more input? Here you go-- I'm technically on hiatus because of real-life issues taking up all my time and energy, but I thought I'd stop by and see what was new on the (formerly) greatest site on the internets--and it turns out, "not much." CUR--a user who can act like as big a troll as TK when he puts his mind to it (truly a "team-killer")--has succeeded in directing an incredible amount of the project's time, space and energy to his own purposes; I check the recent contributions and the majority of the edits seem to be about his stupid cat article. And now, apparently, he's going to do the same thing with the dolphin article, or at least bitch, moan, cry and edit-war here until he moves on to something else. I gotta hand it to him; after, what, three or four months, most people would have seen the light and, given up, realising that most of their contributions were the targets of scorn. But CUR is nothing if not resilient; he keeps coming back for more. Here's my input--ditch the cat article and revert whatever he does here until he gets the hint and this place can go back to being the fun and funny place it once was. - It always amazes me how much you hate my guts. When all I ever tried to do was to help. All my life I'd tried to help. But ever since I got here, I've been a subject of scorn, immature character assasination, and a host of other things as well. Why haven't I left? I've asked myself a dozen times and here is the answer: I like it here. I really do. I want to help this site. But the site won't let me in here. I don't fit with your world view, so you reject me. I could have made a Parthian shot ages ago. But I didn't. Because I like it here. I do. I really do. But TOP, Mei, bunch-of-letters, RWWUR, and others won't leave me alone. This is not what a site is supposed to be. This was set up to be a friendly alternative to CP. It is not what it was intended to be. I'm not leaving. But I don't know what will happen here, now. Do whatever you like with this article, I don't really care, I was trying to help Martin. But you won't let me make peace with someone I accidently drove away. TOP is relentless in his poking of me. He always brings up therianthropy just when I am beginning to settle in here. He has made it his mission to disrupt my adjustment to his site. He is a greater enemy than Fall Down. --<choose>

- TOP "is a greater enemy than Fall Down" = Fuck you CUR. FTR I don't want you to leave I want you to stop acting like a child. User:Mei 21:13, 8 March 2009 (EDT)
- You dont make it easy on yourself. You edit war, bitch and moan when someone makes changes to your pet article but then turn around and state that it is a collaborative effort yet wont take anyones opinion about it. I agree with TOP, just let it go. Ace McWickedRevolt 20:51, 8 March 2009 (EDT)
- CUR, please stop with the victim complex & take a look at what is causing the conflicts. "I don't fit with your world view, so you reject me" - rubbish. Sure, we don't agree with your beliefs about being part-animal, but that doesn't mean we want you to leave the site, & that has nothing at all to do with these current content disputes. You say you want to help, but you insist on getting your own way with every issue, regardless of other people's advice, which makes constructive editing of one of your projects an uphill struggle. Plus you tend to derail discussion & divert attention to yourself, then blame people for poking you. Having enemies on a wiki is also a pointless waste of energy. Just try to be less personally involved with the articles you write & edits you make. WëäŝëïöïďMethinks it is a Weasel 21:05, 8 March 2009 (EDT)

intelligence[edit]
Anybody smart wanna tackle the subject of dolphins' intelligence? In this article, some scientists say dolphins should be treated as people on account of their intelligence. Anyone wanna contest that, or support it? At the very least, we could throw in some more references to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy--User:Brxbrx/sig 23:57, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
Jokes[edit]
I think the jokes that were taken out are about as good as the jokes that were left in. I dopn't understand why they were taken out. Proxima Centauri (talk) 14:10, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

"...there are multiple dolphin bites of humans every year."[edit]
Evidence of people being dumb enough to try to pet wild animals rather than of dolphins' inherent assholishness methinks. Rest of the section sounds about right though. What do you guys say? Vulpius (talk) 19:00, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
