Harper Beckham[edit]

So, apparently according to the Facebook group they're pissed over David Beckham naming his new kid Harper. Now, fair enough the spirituality crap about the middle name being Seven is a bit fruity, but whatever. Harper is an old English name. So they're not happy about someone using an old English name? Fucksake. Really, are these people actually surprised that they're dismissed as uncooth racist morons. ADK...I'll eat your belfry! 17:55, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

I can't find that thread - did they give any particular reason? Baljit (talk) 18:02, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Just down the Facebook page, going back to Friday: "When I saw the Beckhams had a new baby I had my money on 'Jalapeno' for its name but what they chose is just as ridiculous." No reason.
Even better: Poster: "England great announced in the news today ... £52 million to east Africa in aid to help 10 million ppl wot a joke" Shieldwall Admin: "So they get £5.2 Million each ?" Clearly maths is a strong English value... ADK...I'll revolt your kitten! 20:22, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
I think the thing to remember is the heavy overlap in England between nationalism and football - shouldn't be too surprising to see football gossip being discussed on a nationalist group's Facebook page... Baljit (talk) 20:34, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Image vomit[edit]

Way too many images on this page. I'll clean it up later, but for now... bed. Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 09:08, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, well... I think the Wikipedia discussion should stay, since it's referred to in the article. The "Saxon Code" thing can probably be removed since it's not that interesting. I'd rather the discussions about Christianity and pop music stayed since they give good insights into the general ideology of the group. The poem at the end...well, doesn't matter either way, since it's not that necessary but it's not too intrusive stuck at the bottom there.
I suppose the main thing is the "awakening" quote. I wanted to include it because it's basically the whole concept behind the organisation, but I was hesitant to include it as a quote when the article's already pretty quite-heavy. I figured that putting a screengrab along the side of the article was a good compromise, but that was probably a misjudgement on my part. Balaam (talk) 13:01, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Stuffing the turkey[edit]

I notice that, now their official site's dead, this article is the first hit if you Google "English Shieldwall". Since we're now the go-to source for information about them, has anyone got any ideas for improving the article?
A silver rating is too much to hope for since the subject's just too dang obscure, but it'd be great if we get the article looking as nice as possible. Balaam (talk) 15:53, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
