Ethiopia now gets the coveted 'ongoing armed conflicts' category for events in Tigray. Chef Moosolini’s Ristorante ItalianoMake a Reservation 15:59, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Later post, but the conflict has turn extremely ugly. Why is media et al overlooking these horrific atrocities going on this year???? Mass killings, mass rapes, mass famines, propagation of authoritarianism, other war crimes, all the hallmarks of genocide is going on! We need an article on the Ethiopian Civil War, but the events are ongoing and fresh. More of RationalWiki's editors need to at least keep in mind for a future article once that gruesome red mist storm finally settles. --It's-a me, 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 04:05, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
- Oh I've been monitoring it...but I thought we would have to wait to make an article lest we have another Brexit disaster. As for the media...well for the USA at least "Sinema is a bitch part 10" makes for clicks than than a bunch of people killing each other in a country most Americans can't even point out on a map. Did you know that Azerbaijan crushed Armenia in a war last year?-Flandres (talk) 04:47, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
- Nope! It doesn't help I'm not really subscribed to anything (and why should I when I need to vet multiple sources) and I don't follow news much to begin with outside of word from Discord and other communities. I only knew about Ethiopia because I read some articles bemoaning media about overlooking genocide. I also remember a while back about Our Dumb World which completely admonished society for overlooking the Rwandan Genocide. Even the Holocaust was like page 7 on New York Times long ago. Anyhow, I then looked up serious worldwide current events in Google (which results were a crapton of U.S. news), saw Ethiopia, and, well... --It's-a me, 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 04:50, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
