Thunderf00t and Atheism+[edit]
Re: "(TF) was quickly fired after vociferously disagreeing with the absolutism and perspectives of Atheism Plus.": Last post of Thunderf00t on Freethought Blogs - 1 July. Jen McCreight's post "founding" Atheism+ - 19 August. Sapienti sat.--ZooGuard (talk) 20:31, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- Even making the point that the ideas behind A+ predated the introduction of the term, the content of that edit is still an outright lie, as can easily be verified by anyone who actually followed the situation as it unfolded. Tf00t made an absolute fool of himself and threw a massive shit fit before even trying to follow the issue. The meme that he was fired for disagreement is pretty much total memetic horseshit. - Do you have a link to said "fit"? Wackyvorlon (talk) 02:45, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
- No, because the backstory covered a number of articles on several blogs on the site. The most important stuff would probably be on Ed Brayton's blog from about that time, with a lot from PZ and a few others. The backchannel drama wasn't made completely public, but Tf00t wasn't the only one thrown out in that whole mess; Greg Laden shot his mouth off a couple times and was basically ordered to take one for the team. But go back in the archives to when the whole fiasco happened, and you'll find pretty much everything about the whole mess that was made public. And, as is mentioned in the article, compare to Taslima Nasreen's deeply unpopular post about prostitution. Absolutely nobody agreed with that, and a few people were borderline angry with her, but Taslima didn't start a shitstorm over it, and the problem was easily resolved without the disaster that Tf00t created. Although it has been pointed out that Ed Brayton is a fat sack of potatoes. Ask him a question and he will hand you a potato. The fat fuck left FTB last year. Ariel31459 (talk) 04:39, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
Why is there no mention of the FtB code of conduct contracts that all guests must sign if they wish to attend one of their conventions? It contains an explicit directive that all men must REFRAIN from raping their female counterparts. I believe this stems from the violent disgusting inhumane act perpetrated against Rebecca Watson when a guy in the elevator dared to speak to her without permission. He might have even traumatized her by asking her out. FtB has been standing up for women since its inception by portraying them as fragile little cupcakes who can be broken and sent into suicidal downward spirals if a male so much as looks at them the wrong way. This sort of enlightened philosophy is why I do not even talk to women anymore since I don't want to be charged with rape for thinking any woman would be interested in having a conversation with me. — Unsigned, by: 2001:558:1418:50:294B:18F9:96EC:C586 / talk / contribs
This article is embarrassing[edit]
This article could not possibly be written with more bias in it - the vitriol from the authors' for "the enemy" is practically dripping off the text, and it's not only a very ignorant and incomplete recounting of the facts, but it is extremely unprofessional-looking. And please don't "ITTWSTBRW" me. I know of RationalWiki's snarky style - I've been a user of RW for several years now... but this particular article is far, far beyond the pale. As I said, it looks unprofessional, and anyone stumbling upon this page, unfamiliar with RW, will wander off thinking RW is just another worthless web site with nothing to offer but random subjective opinions. — Unsigned, by: 24.222.162.42 / talk 11:37, 24 April 2015
- Your hyperbole is unconvincing. I can see no errors with the article. It might be low on content, but it's accurate. If you can name a specific inaccuracy, please do so. Queexchthonic murmurings 11:55, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
The article is a stinker. Wow. Free Thought Blogs has been abandoned to the slanderous ravings of Pissy Myers. Ariel31459 (talk) 04:25, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
The supporters of this article are unconvincing. The blog is crashing and burning because P. Z. Myers is an hysterical and unethical feminist smerf.Ariel31459 (talk) 15:09, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- Nothing says "thoughtful, carefully considered commentary pointing out bias" like having a viewpoint you disagree with inherently invalidates material. Yep. It's our article that's biased. ikanreed You probably didn't deserve that 16:04, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

The Orbit[edit]
A high proportion of bloggers listed in Freethought Blogs#Blog list are moving to a new site called, 'The Orbit', see Social justice networks are metastasizing! I started a section on Freethought Blogs#The Orbit. This article will need further updating when we know more. Proxima Centauri (talk) 14:05, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
- This is chiefly due to the dumb fuck P.Z. Myers who even mild-mannered SJWs can't stand.Ariel31459 (talk) 04:44, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- Whoever the hell you are Ariel31459, let me say that this mild-mannered SJW can stand YOU far less than PZ. Signed, Jason Thibeault, Lousy Canuck. Lousycanuck (talk) 04:31, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Well, Lousy Canuck: please provide evidence that you are mild-mannered. The evidence so far is in the opposite direction.Ariel31459 (talk) 15:23, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- Funny thing about that -- I actually don't have to provide evidence to counter your unevidenced wild speculations (in contradiction of our stated desire to "do something new") about why we left FtB. Provide evidence any of us can't stand PZ, instead. Lousycanuck (talk) 15:45, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
I am one. You lose.--C
If anyone is still interested in FTB[edit]
I'm the former blogger on that site that went by the name Assassin Actual. If anyone is interested in a first hand account of watching SJWs infect first the backend email channels and then the front end articles of the site; i got stories, son.
As a hint, when I started to disagree with the messaging via internal emails, the fine people at FTB doxxed my ass to the military, which almost tanked my career then and there had I not been born a crafty fuck. A bit of context, at my time at the site, I made it clear to all other writers that I did not wish my real name to be published; mainly because my politics at any time has never lined up with the majority of military culture and being identified as out of the group is not conducive to a career. To this extent, I was the only writer on the site to donate the entirety of all my (meager) earning to charity as I didn't want any ethical conflicts of pulling a paycheck from anyone other than the DoD. In the end, I had to make the decision between my military career and my (then) hobby of writing. There were some good writers there, most left, some drank the koolaid to the point I don't recognize them. — Unsigned, by: Debunked.Monk / talk / contribs
