I don't remember where I heard it, but somebody told me to first work on articles in essayspace or userspace, and when done, bring them into mainspace. I think this is on-mission and has RW's point of view. Well, specifically the scientific one: I don't think I'm that good with the snark. The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 17:31, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
That would be userspace. Not essay space. ТyNo 17:32, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Oh, but this is good, right? The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 17:33, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
At quick glance it looks good to me. I'll look into tidying up the science after my pathology lecture but I like how you tied it to woo. I don't know if Food is the appropriate sidebar, hard to say because of the dietary woo role. I can see where you're coming from ERK! | Complaints Hotline 17:43, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, I worked hard on this. Mind if I ask what you mean by "tidying up the science"? I wanted the main focus on the woo, but wanted a paragraph of intro on the science. And with the sidebar, I was debating that too: wasn't sure whether it should be food, or altmed, or what. Just went with food because it was originally tied with a diet. We'll see after my lecture :) I haven't had time to take a good look yet. It may not need anything. On another note, I'd recommend a picture of a pregnancy pee-stick rather than the 3D structure of the protein as a picture, personally. ERK! | Complaints Hotline 17:47, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
I was at school when I made this article (lunch break), but fortunately my Internet's back up at home for the time being. Just searched Wikimedia Commons for "hCG" and got this. The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 21:49, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

common or more recognizable name?[edit]

Does this have a more common name that we could use as the main title. I don't see anyone who is "woo prone" looking it up this way. --Pink mowse.pngGodotoi, putain, genial, merci 18:19, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Let's see...
Looks like it's usually just "hGC" (which doesn't redirect here) and that this page should be spelt without the 'H' in 'gonadotrophin'. Peter horas non numero nisi serenas 20:58, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I'll add some redirects, and I like spelling with extra letters. The big wiki says it's a valid name, and I also call a deficiency of red blood cells "anaemia". The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 21:49, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
But in this case it should really be the most common version, so move the article to HGC and redirect both spellings to it. Peter horas non numero nisi serenas 21:50, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Why would the G come before the C? Google just recognizes you mixed up the order, but without such correction, we get "Human Genome Center", "Harvard Graduate Council", "Hackensack Golf Club" on the first page, but nothing relating to the hormone. Compare to Google with "hGC". And besides, I already got all the links up AFAIK. The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 22:20, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Sorry, typo - the article should be at HGC, and the rest as redirects. Peter horas non numero nisi serenas 22:21, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
But you just said HCG.... Do you have a QWERTY keyboard? I think this problem is PIBKAC. The Heidelberg Kid (talk) 22:47, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
I think the problem is that I keep reading the acronym from the last time I typed it. :) Peter horas non numero nisi serenas 22:49, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
I'm giggling as i read. you two are too cute! And i've done that with retyping the same typo over. Doesn't it make you feel so smart. :-) --Pink mowse.pngGodotoi, putain, genial, merci 22:54, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

This article is written by an effeminate liberal[edit]

Does this manboobz know what LH does to a man? NO!

Does he have a clue why bodybuilders use HCG? NO!
