2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Neologism?[edit]

WTF? Evidence of usage as described in the article? The coinage exists out there, but mostly it's people who think they're being clever with language or talking about the iPhone app store approval process - David Gerard (talk) 06:03, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Deletion tag now added - David Gerard (talk) 22:12, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Removed. It's out there, people use it, we describe it. Just because it's rare doesn't mean we can't discuss it. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:52, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Citation needed, then. I did in fact look - David Gerard (talk) 07:59, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
I googled it, it may be rare, but it's out there. Going back years. What's your problem with the article, we didn't make it up? ħumanUser talk:Human 08:05, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
As I said two months ago, it's not a standard term for anything in particular. Evidence that it is? - David Gerard (talk) 08:36, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Still waiting. {{delete}} and {{fact}} restored, awaiting actual, er, evidence - David Gerard (talk) 18:12, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
It appears to be in use around the blogosphere and this essay, from a quick search. Lyra § talk 06:20, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
Keep this, it's obviously in use. The sources would fail WP:RS but they pass WP:We are not Wikipedia. Totnesmartin (talk) 10:52, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
