removed: ==Inquisitorial== JP was considered inquisitorial and intolerant of dissent. ref

This may well be true, but it's not developed enough to be a section with just one sentence. Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 14:57, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Vatican II??[edit]

Was under Pope John XXIII in 1962, not JP. B♭maj7 "If two men say they're Jesus, one of them must be wrong." 15:28, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, i tried 3 different ways to write that. Vat II is how he viewed his choices, as far as I understand them, as he was a very serious player during the Conferences. I had it in, i had it out... do what makes the most sense.--Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 15:39, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

Mother Teresa and other biased smears[edit]

PC's edits are terrible and ruin the article. I suggest someone undo them. DamoHi 13:25, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

New World Order[edit]

Should his speech at Ghandi's funeral be mentioned?-- (talk) 13:44, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

Got a link to a video or transcript? I haven't heard this myself. Zero (talk - contributions) 15:27, 29 September 2014 (UTC) -- (talk) 16:55, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Eh, it seems overly edited to me. On the other hand, it doesn't feel all that on mission. Zero (talk - contributions) 18:08, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
That was PROF of a new world order and you people STILL fail to admit it? Why would the POPE just mention the one world government plan if it wasnt evidence??-- (talk) 12:43, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
"Prof"? Dear God, if people like you are the ones fighting the NWO, then we're pretty much fucked. RoninMacbeth (talk) 17:23, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Assassination conspiracy theories[edit]

There are various, blaming the Soviet Union, Bulgaria, and/or elements in the Vatican: Pope John Paul II assassination attemptWikipedia. --Annanoon (talk) 09:22, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

Was actually considering adding a section to this page about the Soviet conspiracy. I first heard it from a teacher at my school (a Catholic institution, mind you), who asserted that the real reason JPII was nearly murdered was because he was an outspoken opponent of socialism and said it was the worst thing the universe, etc, or something along those lines. Of course, that didn't really give the USSR any reason to want to kill him, especially considering that religion was tolerated there. I honestly don't get how you can believe something that is easily disprovable with a single google search. Jake Holmesyell at me 00:54, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
