Yeah. So much quackery, this stuff with vitamine C. That's why he only lived to be 93, this poor man. — Unsigned, by: 188.115.48.238 / talk / contribs 22:25, 10 December 2014

Yeah, and Arthur Langran is over 100 years old, despite being a chain smoker. But you don't see anyone touting the life benefits of smoking ten cigarettes a day, do you? Noir LeSable (talk) 22:34, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Would it have disproved his idea if he had lived to 45? EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 23:21, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

So, in a nutshell, anecdote is not the plural of data. This is why we perform experiments so we can get a fuller picture. Also, I don't think the act of promoting quackery is linked to longevity. Crankiness doesn't shorten life span. LEFTYGREENMARIO 00:06, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

It depends. Making money off of being a crank can get you the ability to get better care using mainstream medical ideas. Until the promoters start using their product. EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 15:35, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
