If you are going to go around doing stuff like that[edit]

You might find this handy. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 22:28, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

I loved your BMI edit under obesity. I use BMI professionally (in research) and rant against it personally (as a clinical measure). You covered both sides quite well. Well done! MarmotHead (talk) 19:53, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! (I, ah, replied to this on your talk page) Noir LeSable (talk) 20:10, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Before you ask[edit]

Boogie's full name has been known for some time apparently.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 04:48, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Whoa, so if it's out on the internet anywhere it's okay? I guess that makes Quinn's nudie pics okay. I mean, not okay like you can look at them and not feel icky, okay like it's cool if I post them up here or wherever. Cool? (talk) 04:55, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
I agree with you that just because it's buried somewhere on the internet it may not be nice to dig up and spread around, but please don't argue in my talk page, thx. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 07:15, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Boy,'s got a lot of IPs available for you to proxy on doesn't it?—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:23, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
I think his RL address would be a bit of a bigger issue than his real name, but yeah. :P ℕoir LeSable (talk) 07:15, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Just saying "Boogie" is odd cause his name's been out there for a while, and it's not like he's told the media not to use it.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 07:23, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Ah, fair enough. I'd assumed the opposite as he was referred to as "Boogie" during an episode of "Supersize vs Superskinny" where he was interviewed by one of the contestants about his weight and the life issues it posed. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 17:49, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

it was all over the BBC website when it took place, you just missed it :P --"Paravant" Talk & Contribs 16:17, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

Ah, that's fair. TIL. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 19:01, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Ukip page[edit]

Not going to edit that one myself as im more pr less happy with it, but;

1) i'm from somerset 2) I didn't post the 'reaching out' picture, i had been tagged in it.

Would you like to make the necessary changes for me, as i'm not going to get the last word on it? — Unsigned, by: Mrpibb / talk / contribs

Please check all the WIGOs before adding new ones. Pippa (talk) 11:10, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Right, my mistake.
Still, why the hell is it in "Blogs" rather than "Clogs"? ℕoir LeSable (talk) 14:50, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Presumably because it was in a 'reputable' blog about the cloggish stuff? Pippa (talk) 15:28, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
I'm not going to press the issue too hard because it was ultimately my mistake (and woooo fake internet points!), but there are plenty of Clogs that are posts in 'reputable' blogs about Cloggy stuff. In fact, the latest post (as of writing) is a blogpost from 'reputable' anti-misogyny blog We Hunted The Mammoth, and two of the three top Clogs are formatted similarly (citing Right Wing Watch and FreakOutNation respectively). I mean, if it were commentary on or a refutation of the Cloggish material, then sure I could see why it would go in Blogs instead, but for general reporting? Page blankers[edit]

They didn't blank other pages that I saw, but their first actions after creating an account was to quickly blank a page: not nice. Bongolian (talk) 20:25, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Real ID doesn't stand for anything[edit]

But why can't we joke about it standing for something? ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 16:06, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

@Ikanreed If you want to put it back in with a {{fact|joke}}, go for it. The last ver was implying it WAS an acronym/initialism, and that a lot of places say "REAL ID" as opposed to "Real ID" hasn't helped. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 16:55, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
I don't think something described as a "ignorance department" really needs the hammer to the head of telling readers its a joke. Given the choice between the two, I'd prefer no joke to "IT'S A JOKE, GET IT???" ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 17:22, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
Added it back. If it isn't already obvious enough, I added some snark. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 17:38, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Suspect to what?[edit]

I don't hide the fact that I think Oxyaena is an idiot. Thinking she is an idiot does not make me a troll. I was just trying to address the known issue of there being generalizations in there that don't belong there (see the tag at the top of the page). Do you think RationalWiki should have quality content covering fundamentalism, or do you think it should be filled with stereotypes, fake news, and other bullshit that attacks things that RationalWikians do not like? The two things I removed were an outlandish position only held by one moron (who doesn't need any more attention than he's already getting in the article) and his followers, and a position that is more a conservative matter than an Independent Baptist matter (Jack Hyles has two Christian schools, Pensacola Christian and Bob Jones not only run Christian schools but supply them with textbooks, the assistant superintendent of schools for the public school system where I live is an Independent Baptist, and I literally just fed a summer camp at an Independent Baptist church as a public school employee working for an adjacent district, whereas Andrew Schlafly, who is NOT Independent Baptist but is a raging conservative, holds the anti-school position to the letter). (talk) 20:08, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Look, the subject of IFB doesn't come into it at all. If you take that to the talk page of the article, I'm sure it'd be very helpful. But if you've been around here long enough to suggest you're a veteran editor, you'll know that Oxy has for some time been a target for trolls, including folks who've been previously been banned from here. And frankly, a BoN coming in that hot and hostile, suggesting you know her, and specifically telling her to fuck off over a single simple rollback? You realize how suspect that looks? Because it's very.
Granted, I don't think you are anymore, otherwise I don't think you would have spent this much time on defending those edits here, including personal anecdotes, so I at least apologize for the implication. ℕoir LeSable (talk) 21:19, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
Yes, I am very aware of how Oxy is disliked by many, some of whom are trolls, but many of whom are not trolls. Frankly, who isn't annoyed by Oxy? My IP is dynamic and changes at least once every few months, sometimes even more often. Maybe if you were to look at the content of the edits rather than try to identify someone who is deliberately NOT registering/using an account (as if it even matters who they are) you'd be better off? (talk) 22:22, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
Well well well, so much for your idea. So now what do you do about this idiocy? Sorry, this was predictable since this isn't the first rodeo I've had with Oxy. (talk) 23:28, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
You done? ℕoir LeSable (talk) 06:25, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
