Talk:PETA
Team Meat's response[edit]
I think this article should mention what Team Meat said in response on the official twitter: "How many PETA supporters does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None, PETA can't change anything!' The Rational Gamer, WonderKirby577Let's chat! 03:21, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
- I'd like to see a more themed take on the lightbulb joke here. :/ --It's-a me, ๐LeftyGreenMario!๐ 05:04, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
"Liberal moonbattery" tag[edit]
Is the liberal moonbattery tag warranted? Animal rights supporters tend to be found all along the political spectrum.Advicedoge (talk) 03:15, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Could we put a better source needed every time we link The Huffington Post?[edit]
Since HuffPost uses many emotional appeals, we might have to put a "better source needed" when we use 'em as a source. I think the same should apply when we cite consumerfreedom.com.--Delibirda (talk) 12:23, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
- This is years old, but recently it came to my attention that PETA's enemies aren't necessarily people's friends. For example, they're also a target of right-wing lobbying groups such as Berman & Co. https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=PETA_Kills_Animals so, diligence with sources is recommended, just eye them twice. It's "food/bev industry" not "junk food industry"[edit]
I just hate the term "junk food". It's childish in my honest opinion, and it looks unprofessional in comparison to the correct term "food/bev industry".

- I'm working on adding reference details. Reference 22 redirects to a generic news release page. The archived versions on archive.org and archive.is also, as far as I can tell, all redirect to the generic page. Searching for Ben and Jerry's returns only results for the vegan ice cream, nothing about breast milk. ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ talk 01:27, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- You can probably reference this blog post and the followup post. Basically, seems like they were trolling using a nonsensical red herring regarding the fact that human breast milk tends to be healthier overall for babies. (Sure, but most people who eat ice cream aren't actually breastfeeding babies.) PanGalacticGargleBlaster (talk) 01:44, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- Those work; I've added both. ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ talk 18:10, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
