2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I'm in two minds whether the breast cancer / abortion thing is politcal. It sort of is, but it didn't make sense the way it was put in there so I removed it. It could go under the "examples" but I think that's getting long and we might be stretching the definition of the article in some of them. ArmondikoVpathetic 06:23, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

The examples need a rewrite anyway; the grammar needs cleaning up, and we could probably tighten the definition while we're at it. Not me, though, I'm off to bed. Wazza (Not Wazzock, Wazza)Approach the Presence 11:43, 24 October 2008 (EDT)

We could do with a similar article on the commercialisation of science - the way science is bent to the defence of business interests, rather than stating the truth. Tobacco company shenanigans are a good example. 85.234.65.51 (talk) 12:30, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
