2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

I've stuck an entire quote from the National Council Against Health Fraud 'cause I liked it & it did give permission. I am eating Toast& honeychat 23:02, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

It looks good, the quote explains the concept concisely and is easy to understand. Tetronian you're clueless 23:04, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Source that Reiki is has better-than-placebo effects seems questionable?[edit]

The source that's cited in two places for saying Reiki is better than placebo, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5871310/, seems to be from a fairly questionable source -- a relatively low impact journal, Journal of Evidence Based Complementary Alternative Medicine, and the authorship seems tied to the Australasian Usui Reiki Association. Not sure if it's a valid source here. Not sure if I should just remove those sections? — Unsigned, by: Jezzamon / talk / contribs

Yes, it should be taken down until better sources are available. — Unsigned, by: Annhetrick / talk / contribs
