- Seems like too much of a stretch to me personally. Chillpilled (talk) 22:56, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- The whole tweet is nonsensical. It only starts making sense when you realize it's constructed around those two numbers. 2003:D8:4709:890:2CE5:4D2B:D24E:E810 (talk) 09:16, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
"I'm not antivaxx"[edit]
Kennedy's claim of not being antivaxx is contradicted by the fact that he's alienated most of his own family. I believe that indicates he's a true believer, so either RFK is lying or genuinely had a change of heart. I personally think he's full of shit given he's running for POTUS, but maybe... What's the general consensus here on the wiki? Carthage (talk) 20:33, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- I think RFKjr is full of shit. A "change of heart" is awfully unlikely. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 21:26, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- Well, he released this book, "Vax-Unvax - Let the Science Speak" in August this year. From the reviews and forwards, the book is... exactly what you expect it is.
- I'm not sure if it's lying or stupidity - it could be either. With apologies for linking to the New York Post, in this interview RFK Jr insists that he has "never been anti-vaccine" but is instead advocating "safe vaccines and robust science". If he's not lying, in other words, it's more that he's someone who completely distrusts Big Pharma but doesn't know why, and conspires about scientific research that he can't understand. In America, the science side of Big Pharma is IMHO quite good; other parts, however, can occasionally be shady. It baffles me how one who wants to rail against Big Pharma isn't going after, say, legitimately awful crap (think, historically, Purdue Pharma,
or currently, the notoriously awful pricing / insurance model here that makes American health care expensively meh and gives Europeans a reason to laugh at us). Instead, he actually (using falsehoods, of course) attacks well established vaccines like the f'n 50 year old vaccine for Hepatitis B. Sigh. BobJohnson (talk) 21:29, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

“Make America Healthy Again Commission”[edit]
Since RFK Jr’s confirmation for Secretary of Health and Human Services, much to the horror of everyone with common sense. A new commission has been put in place; the “Make America Healthy Again Commission”[1].
In it, it is said that Trump will try to change how the healthcare system is.[2] Being RFK Jr, that’s already concerning. But what’s more of concern is how it is said that Trump will change from trying to “treat” certain chronic “illnesses” rather than preventing them. Sounds fine on paper,[note 1] but when you bring up certain conditions like Autism and ADHD, even more alarm bells are screaming. This nearing into eugenics language has some in the autism rights movement even more fucking worried. Reiterating this “prevention” over “treatment” gives a clear message: you’re broken and you shouldn’t have been “ill”, rather than just acknowledging a disability and trying to make life better for those people. This and with RFK Jr’s “government wellness farms”, which can be interpreted as one thing and another, neither of which are good.
In short; more ableism with power given to a dumbass who’s only thing is making it worse for disabled people. Dark times indeed. I hope this doesn’t pass, but knowing how America is fucked right now, as a Canadian I can’t be very optimistic at these significant reversal of progress, all I can give as anger, sadness and immense frustration.

- It hasn't been lost on me the way this guy talks about autistic people could have some negative impacts. I've also wondered about how Elon acting a fool could impact negatively since he might have been seen as a positive example of a high-profile autistic person by many people.
