Is there none better? What about a fractal, like this one? Peter tanquam ex ungue leonem 05:19, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- I just made an icon for it: . The icon I made originally had a bunch of random math symbols on it, like the image that was used in this template, but I felt it looked stupid so I came up with something I feel looked better, but also easyish for people to understand. I'm not at a real computer, but since the tag line is "part of a convergent series on" can we change this to or (equivalent) or or maybe go the ironic route and do this is all without the "necessary" bit of extra formatting of adding in a lim -> symbol, as in 24.74.69.231 (talk) 14:37, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Pedantic Pete here[edit]
Actually it's me, C®ackeЯ, pausing to say that since this went from {{maths}} to {{mathematics}} it might make sense to change the Name on the banner from maths to mathematics? Someone else can actually do it...I'm only the idea guy. 03:42, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
This should be changed to "convergent series"[edit]
Yay or nay? HomoHeisenbergensis (talk) 19:46, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Can we change the header equation[edit]
To 1 + 1 = 10 or is there another, better joke I don't get here?--2friedeggs (talk) 03:38, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Proposal to edit to "1"+"1"="11"[edit]
This is due to thanks to pseudomathematics (Terrence Howard does not even believe in multiplicative identity (i.e. 1*x=1)). Also for datatypes in computing where these are interpreted as strings and as such concatenates them like words Qwertydiy (talk) 08:00, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
- For fuck's sake, please, this is not difficult! Sign your posts with (~~~~) or (if that's too fucking hard) by clicking on the fucking sign BUTTON: on the toolbar above the edit panel. (You can indent successive talk page comments using one more colon (:) for each line.) This keeps the place tidy and stops you looking like a complete arsing tool so please, just fucking do it already.
