Eh? I come back two weeks later after taking a sabbatical, and somehow I have responsibilities?? Where's my mop!?--Pokefrazer (talk) 18:05, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Link spam[edit]

Eh, it was pretty funny. No harm having another conspiracy theorist on our conspiracy theory talkpage! ;) FuzzyCatPotato!โ„ข (talk/stalk) 11:13, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

are you sure[edit]

Are you sure about removing the stuff on the tvc article? It seemed fine. -— Unsigned, by: Godonaldgo / talk / contribs

You must be new[edit]

Actually, how this works is I'Ll just refresh my IP address and create a new account, and because even the most mature person on this site has demonstrated that he cannot be trusted with CheckUser access, there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Sporky (talk) 04:07, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

If you believe that's the best use of your time, then that's up to you.--Spoony (talk) 04:09, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Minor edit[edit]

Hi, Just a note from Help: *Minor edit (spelling, grammar, adding refs/cats etc.):

Checking the minor edit box signifies that the current and previous versions differ only superficially (typographical corrections, etc.), in a way that no editor would be expected to regard as disputable. Scream!! (talk) 12:38, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Yup got it! --Spoony (talk) 13:09, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

What I said on "Talk" by Joe Biden.[edit]

What do you think about this in detail? Indeed, there are many South Koreans who perceive American politics in that way. However, some of them are conservatives, but some hate (PPP)conservative and DPK and support the Justice Party. I want to know in detail what locals in the United States think about this issue. --Umaru16 (talk) 09:53, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

I know literally nothing on South Korea other than that one meme song from 2012 and their sizeable Christian minority. You are asking the wrong person. I just found the wall of text to be amazing.--Spoony (talk) 10:41, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Edit warring[edit]

Asking someone to provide a reference to an unsourced claim is not trolling. If that person continues to add the information without a reference despite multiple people disputing it in the talk page, that's edit warring. It's not people just blocking people they disagree with when people repeatedly add unsourced claims without properly engaging in the talk page. There's a reason why most wikis have zero tolerance for this behavior, and I respectfully ask you to stop enabling/participating in this behavior. Thanks. Plutocow (talk) 18:54, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

That's exactly what I was reverting but ehh whatever helps you sleep at night I guess--Spoony (talk) 19:00, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
No, you were calling people "bullies" for reverting an edit warrior who refused to provide sources. Please stop with that. Plutocow (talk) 19:03, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
lol bullying https://tinyurl.com/4cx7588b --Spoony (talk) 19:07, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
You were saying? Plutocow (talk) 19:14, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Thought you were talking about the argument on the talk page that escalated the minute a particular user got involved again who was banned earlier. At the end of the day it was hyperbole I forgot about using. Still pretty convinced multiple users saw the content of the edit and immediately made up their minds though--Spoony (talk) 19:17, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Did a solid Ctrl + F on the whole fiasco and found nothing of the sort so I'm just going to categorize this one as "lying"--Back2theroots34 (talk) 19:05, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
You didn't look at the edit summaries or the block reasons. Top-notch detective work, there, champ. Queexchthonic murmurings 19:31, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Yeah I wouldn't personally call this an accurate way the events took place but I have a 6 pack in front of me I find far more important right now.--Back2theroots34 (talk) 18:57, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Also, genius[edit]

"Autopatrolled" and "autoconfirmed" are not the same thing, so I still can't edit ATIM. Spoony is a Coward (talk) 07:31, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

"In some extreme cases, where a sysop is being particularly disruptive, another sysop may need to "promote" them as soon as possible to prevent further vandalism or abuse, but they must then discuss their decision with others at the Chicken Coop page or All Things in Moderation, to determine whether the user should remain de-sysoped. "

Actually I didn't but I don't really want to make this a big problem so oh well, you were warned.--Spoony (talk) 07:37, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Yeah, rolling back a couple of talk page edits isn't significant disruption. This is coming from someone who was socking and edit warring the Gnosticism page not too long ago. Spoony is a Coward (talk) 07:40, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
Yeah yeah yeah whatever helps you sleep at night yawn--Spoony (talk) 07:40, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Please stop messing with my talkpage. Especially don't add back blatant troll edits like the one from the "Yaush" dingus. Plutocow (talk) 07:49, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

It was a blanket revert because you're removing my warnings.--Spoony (talk) 07:58, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
It's at ATIM now, you can cut it out. Plutocow (talk) 08:13, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
When people complain and get their edits reverted, they tend not to particularly appreciate it. Stop threatening.--Spoony (talk) 08:14, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
What am I even threatening? It's already at ATIM, whatever will happen will happen. I'd just recommend not digging yourself deeper. Plutocow (talk) 08:15, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
"Digging yourself deeper" dude that's threatening. Why do you always need the last word?--Spoony (talk) 08:26, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Regarding the issue in ATIM[edit]

Plutocow is out of control. Unban my account so I can bring this up in ATIM and unban my sock.--Spoony (talk) 00:50, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

still out of control a month later--Spoony (talk) 23:21, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

About your Drug Article Edits.[edit]

What are they exactly based on? If they are based on personal experience and you are trying to present them as something others will definitely experience if they try the drug that maybe keep that stuff out. It's fine to add some snark or jokes but don't try to pass drug experiences or withdrawal experiences off as a universal or even generalizable without direct reference to clinical studies. Drug effects are highly variable from person to person, and the experience of one person is a just that. I can see some edits are meant just as quippy jokes, that's fine as long as the intent is obvious but see others were you are describing the withdrawal as "not bad" and detailing effects and that sort of thing is going to require citations. - Only Sort of Dumb (talk) 05:04, 13 April 2022 (UTC).

I assume that's on the MDMA article. I never said the withdrawal is "not bad" and anyone trying to roll consistently will be in for a very rude awakening if that was their takeaway. The problem with drugs is that experiences are inherently subjective. What I wrote has been general consensus in a very, very screwed up community of people.

If you mean the Tobacco article, Nicotine is literally like that.--Spoony (talk) 05:10, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

There is academic articles you can cite for sampled self-reports of drug users you can use to cite commonly reported effects. I don't think any one person can act as a spokeperson on the behalf of some presumed community. Being that they are subjective you probably should refrain from making any definite claims about the experience without something else to source from. Also in general too it's better not to make references to supposed cases or events that you don't have a citation for. These articles are not really supposed to be speculations about things you have "heard" - Only Sort of Dumb (talk) 05:14, 13 April 2022 (UTC).
This isn't wikipedia, I don't need to necessarily cite academic sources. I don't claim to be a spokesperson for any community, especially this one, nor do I want to be. Nicotine has consistent effects. Calling at an "opioid" is not personal experience, thats just what it is at high doses. Saying "it makes me dizzy and giggle a little bit" would be personal experience. If you made this complaint on something like LSD then I would understand.--Spoony (talk) 05:20, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
Something being an opioid requires that it's analgesic and that it acts upon opioid receptors in the brain, to establish the drug as being such you need to a cite a source suggesting that nicotine does in fact do this; which isn't hard to find. A quick google already gives me results for clinical studies that talk of mu opioid binding in the brain by nicotine. This is not Wikipedia but that doesn't mean we throw out any requirement to be factual or evidence based out the window. That literally goes against what Rationalwiki stands for. Every drug for the most part have relatively consistent effects reported across pharmacological research but the problem is that these individualized effects are highly variable given the individual variation for things like body fat percentage, receptor density, sensitivity, tolerance, metabolism, etc. The consistent effects often have to be isolated out through the use of statistical methods compared to some control. It's not that difficult to find sources on drug effects that have been systematically gathered. Not being wikipedia isn't permission to be intellectually lazy. - Only Sort of Dumb (talk) 05:29, 13 April 2022 (UTC).

Edit Conflicts[edit]

This edit makes several times I've seen you delete other users' comments when adding your own. I'm assuming this is because of something you're doing in the edit conflict screen. Just making sure you're aware; I can't offer any advice, since I don't really know what you're doing. ๐’ฎ๐‘’๐“‡๐‘’๐“ƒ๐‘’ talk 01:19, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

I literally don't remember doing that. My personal theories are either alcohol inhibiting my memory (unlikely because it's beer), edit conflicts or just plain not paying attention. Either way I'm sorry, that's not what I meant to do.--Spoony (talk) 01:24, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
It's from edit conflicts, I think, when you overwrite someone else's edits. If it happens once or twice, just an accident, but be careful. Corncob (argue) 02:38, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

CosmicDebris[edit]

@Cosmikdebris What did I do this time. Things are hot right now, but that doesn't mean you have to be abusive with the blocks. --2friedeggs (talk) 04:25, 30 April 2022 (UTC)

Oh you're the guy who thought we should be banned for a month, that explains it.--2friedeggs (talk) 04:39, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
Nothing personal, just be careful with the overzealous removal of talk page comments. Your edits are going to get scrutinized more closely as long as you continue this whole shitstorm drama on the wiki.
I think you both should step away from this place for a while. It can only do you good. โ€”cosmikdebris talk stalk 22:08, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
We should avoid eachother for awhile. Sick of something getting started and both of us getting blocked. Beyond that I do agree with them about just getting the vote over with early. Sick of GC making more people by the week dislike him, sick of Pluto for dragging it out, sick of myself for humoring this circus of an incident, sick of ATIM for lasting a whole week.--2friedeggs (talk) 22:17, 30 April 2022 (UTC)
