Hi :) humanUser talk:Human 00:00, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Darn edit conflict. As I was going to say, greetings, Ms. Belaqua! Welcome to the greatest thing since lava lamps! --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:01, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
Bbbbbut what about Barack Obama? Slightly before lava lamps, I guess --Lyra Belaqua 00:10, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
BHO = three lava lamps (or even more?!), as I understand my eBay transactions. humanUser talk:Human 00:13, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
You can buy Obama on eBay? I thought they didn't allow the sale of humans? --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:14, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
Rumor has it that Obama will actually nominate a lava lamp as the veep! That way he'll appeal to the Conservapedia vote i.e. people who like shiny things. --Lyra Belaqua 00:16, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
I thought they liked slimy things? --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:17, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
You can't buy Obama on eBay since the Republicans freed the slaves... oops, did we open a can of worms? When did your family come over here? humanUser talk:Human 00:19, 25 March 2008 (EDT)
Lava lamps are shiny on the outside but slimy on the inside, like Bush was to Floridans in 2000.--Lyra Belaqua 00:23, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Your name[edit]

Would you believe I only got your name just now? It took seeing your signature to realize it. --Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:49, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Yes. I also enjoy riding Icelandic polar bears and getting caught in the rain. Lyra § talk

And me too, of course. :-) Lyra § talk

Hey![edit]

Lyra, you should totally edit here now that Liberapedia have transformed into a dictatorship. We're a much better fit for you, in my humble opinion. Jellyfish! 20:26, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

Where do I know you from? b) Does everyone have the power to rollback? Lyra Belaqua Communique Delegate scorecard 20:31, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
1) I was Jellyfish! on Conservapedia, but it was a hideous lie :)
2) Yes, I think so. I'm not sure, but I think I rollbacked a couple of times here when I was new.Jellyfish! 20:33, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Rollback is given to users that meet certain basic criteria involving the length of time they have been a user and the number of edits they have. It keeps it out of the hands of drive by vandals as it requires a somewhat significant contribution to the site before you can use it. tmtoulouse vex 20:34, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Unless you got some cash money.-- Asclepius staff.png-PalMD --yada yada 20:39, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Since when has Liberapedia become a dictatorship?
Since the number of users there shrank to about five and you started labeling ex-users "TRAITORS", maybe? Jellyfish! 21:41, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
1) K I thought for a minute that someone pulled a Freedom777 on me (I only had about 3 mainspace edits) 2) What?? Someone knows about Elassint's little wiki about Liberapedia? I thought everyone there was just a sock of Elassints'! Lyra Belaqua Communique Delegate scorecard 22:05, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Yeah, that was really pathetic, Elassint. --Ryan 02:30, 23 May 2008 (EDT)
For many years now, we Jellyfish have been watching Liberapedia and patiently drawing up our plans against you. Soon the Great Wave will come and we will begin the invasion. We don't edit there, though. Jellyfish! 22:09, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
That's just mildly odd. I hope (not that I would know) that it's nothing like so-called "Ides."
PS Elassint, I doubt that is your real name, I still retain socks and occasionally edit LP and "LPP." You'll never guess who it is! (wink) Lyra Belaqua Communique Delegate scorecard 22:15, 14 May 2008 (EDT)
Were you lurking here for all that Ides stuff, then? We Jellyfish do not Ide. We sometimes run, though.Jellyfish! 22:24, 14 May 2008 (EDT)

Remnants from another age[edit]

You are such a hypocrite, look here, you said that we look so down on vandals and dissidents who come to Liberapedia, yet take pleasure in watching many more vandals do the same thing to Conservapedia.

You do know this is by far the biggest, baddest anti-CP site on the entire internet? These guys have been attacking Conservapedia for more then a while now, and many of the attacks are much worse then the ones random 12 year olds have been doing against LP for a while. I'm fairly sure that these guys aren't doing it anymore, but we never did. — Unsigned, by: Elassint / talk / contribs

Okay, Elassint, you've gotten me to admit I shouldn't have made fun of the main page. Furthermore, I was talking about me personally when I said that, it was the old "royal we." What I meant was that making fun of Conservapedia is a much more laudible goal than making fun of conservatives. Lyra (ميصتنسثه) 17:44, 16 May 2008 (EDT)

Re Nav etc Templates[edit]

Please make some templates if you think they'd help navigate the site. I've often thought they'd help a stranger (or even a regular) to find interesting pages. SusanG  ContribsTalk 17:59, 15 May 2008 (EDT)

K, would you prefer "div" or "blockquote?" Lyra (dust) 18:02, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
The latter is much easier to deal with. Lyra (dust) 18:03, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
You're right! I count a total of 7 (Global flood; Helpnav; Law; Mathnav; QuranGuide; Sex; War; Think there's a couple more) - Personally I prefer div cos it's more movable/positionable & can be prettyfied too. SusanG  ContribsTalk
Helpnav Mathnav are my creation & can be copied/adapted to use elsewhere - see Helpnav for instructions. SusanG  ContribsTalk 18:13, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Oh, & we've got Wikipedia's Navigation box SusanG  ContribsTalk 18:27, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Can I second the preference for "div"? Even though I don't understand most of how it works, it is easier to make them better. humanUser talk:Human 19:02, 15 May 2008 (EDT)
Nice work, by the way. Got any more you're thinking of putting together? humanUser talk:Human 19:11, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
Got the format for one in my sandbox. Cheerio! Lyra (qed) 10:50, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

<-- Your sig takes up ten lines on edit pages, you might want to bury it behind a pair of templates (see the help files if you don't know what I mean). Oh, and on your template naming - any chance of sticking to all small or intercaps? They are harder to remember - Abortionnav vs. DenialismSide - see the difference - not only in the camel caps thing, but the naming itself is different. I know, one's on the side and one at the bottom, but that's really the only difference. Last whine, we have some monstrous alphabetized, descriptive template list somewhere (it's on the help page...), can you add your new templates to it, please? humanUser talk:Human 19:06, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

Another issue I am seeing is that with the "Side" style box, the "HR" that tops each section shows through the box, which is weird. I'll try to fix, it's probably simple. humanUser talk:Human 19:16, 17 May 2008 (EDT)
Yup, just had to force a bg color for the "content" humanUser talk:Human 19:19, 17 May 2008 (EDT)

Youre Likely right, but...[edit]

Having read the Wiki Media guiding rules isn't an open wiki this, or Wikipedia? One that allows edits from non-registered individuals. I'm sure you guys have looked it up, so just tell me where i can find a more detailed explanation. -Thanks 68.209.103.2 04:02, 19 May 2008 (EDT)

It is "open" because it allows anyone to register a username, and does not restrict in the ways detailed in the article like delayed confirmation, etc. Lyra (WHO IS JUSTICE BEAVER?) 08:39, 19 May 2008 (EDT)
I think Lyra is correct in the context. Anyone with an unblocked IP (which is not a big deal) can create an account and edit immediately on CP. That they do not allow IP edits is a minor quibble, even WP blocks IP edits (and "new" editors) when they semi-protect a page. Compare with some wikis, that you can't even read unless you are an editor, and joining is strictly regulated. Or ones you can read, but account creation is invite-only (or via an application-only process). humanUser talk:Human 12:26, 19 May 2008 (EDT)

Matrix, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean make the best quotes. Come now, "Use the Force," "I am your father," "Mr. Anderson," "Savvy?" "Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!" didn't become famous for no reason. I still don't know what "All your base are belong to us" means. And proud of it. Lyra § talk 14:06, 21 May 2008 (EDT)

DimmEd[edit]

I was just about to unblock you, but DimmEd beat me to it. What an odd block... blocking someone for reverting vandalism. =-= Clone 19:37, 21 May 2008 (EDT)

Thanks... For a minute I thought he blocked me for changing the category from "UK Soccer" (which didn't exist) to "Soccer." Lyra § talk 19:38, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
I think it might have been that too, since he reverted your edit. I changed it back to "Soccer" with an explanation. =-= Clone 19:39, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
Ed couldn't parse your perfectly clear sentence at his crap article about Derwinism and clothism. ħψAnarchy dd00dd.pngUser talk:Human 19:44, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
The reason for the block was "undoing the work of others without an explanation." Also, you'd think that sentence was good, I said "Intelligent design was more logical than natural selection..." Lyra § talk 19:45, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
Yah, I thought it made perfect sense in "context" (CP). Ed's an idiot. ħψAnarchy dd00dd.pngUser talk:Human 19:50, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
Hence the section header. I dunno why Candlewick gets to keep his block rights and call Ed that, but it's glad to have a voice of reason among the looking-glass admins. Lyra § talk 19:52, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
I'm "Candlewick" now? Ed knows I have a special "link" (chain/hold) with Andy. As long as I make half-way decent blocks/edits, I keep my rights (edit/block/upload)... I never use the last right. =-= Clone 19:56, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
Don't tell Andy but I really want Upload. I have an agenda of my own. And I think that "Candlewick" has the most similarity with "Kektklik," in my opinion. Other possibilities include WalkingStick and MagicTrick ʘ_ʘ Lyra § talk 20:06, 21 May 2008 (EDT)
