User talk:Crundy/RW Poker Tournament
I don't want to shoot any dreams down, but if you are hoping to do Random for this one, it is not going to work out. Javasca₧ no really. 21:13, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- What do you mean? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 21:16, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, never mind, external website *kicks self and walks away Javasca₧ I saw a stool sample close to here... 21:18, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Were you implying I was going to use the random feature of the wiki to make a poker game? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 21:19, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Scheduling[edit]
We might have some issues due to our transglobal locations. I think 8 PM GMT is either 3 or 4 PM here, I might not even be awake yet! Oh well, we'll see. ħuman 00:40, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, what about at 9/10pm GMT to make it 5/6pm there? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 08:56, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- As suggested on your talk page, you can add a scheduled game for the Americans here at a convenient time. I leave the server running anyway. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 15:16, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- Cool. We need more peeps to sign up though. One can enter and leave a ring game at any time, though, right? I might just pop in if I see you jackals fleecing each other, double up through a couple of you, then skip town with all the beer money. ħuman

- Ha! You wil be destroyed, n00bite. I'm online now if you fancy a quick muckaround. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 23:09, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Password[edit]
Would ya kindly send me the site password, so I may partake of its joys therein? Aboriginal Noise Oh, you want to hit people with garbage cans? 21:17, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- This looks fun, and I'd like to play, but the timing would place it at 3:30 in the afternoon for me. Unless it's on a Sunday, I probably can't play. Oh well. --User:Theautocrat/Sig 21:24, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- What we need is more people in later time zones (like USA) so we can have an evening game. ħuman
21:40, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe we should split the player list into two timezones for people on opposite sides of the world? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 08:53, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Damn time zones. I could easily play in the middle of the night and enjoy a game with the yanks, but that'd be hard for the other Brits who actually have jobs to go to, and are generally useful members of society. Crundy's idea of 2 time zones is probably makes most sense. SJ Debaser 12:22, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- What would be a good time for the yanks then? 20:00 EST? CrundyTalk nerdy to me 12:43, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

How about we reorganize the list of players by time zone and see how the groupings fall? Trouble is, from what I see, we still don't have enough potential players... perhaps the invite should be reposted at the SB or something? ħuman 21:56, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- Need the password, and if you could tell me what time zone to set my clock to, that would be great--Thanatos (talk) 17:00, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm interested, as long as you don't get frustrated having a complete novice taking part ;) --Worm(t | c) 17:32, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- As he's invited everyone, I don't think Crundy's that bothered about playing with n00bs. SJ Debaser 17:52, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- I tried to get in there today for the ring game (I was too late for the tourney), but the connection failed on me. Because I'm a Yank, fer shure. Aboriginal Noise Oh, you want to hit people with garbage cans? 21:13, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to have crapped out in some description. Just when I was about to beat Worm, too... SJ Debaser 21:17, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Whichever, at least it wasn't me just being aross the pond that was the problem. At least I got to see how it works for the 2 minutes I was there. Aboriginal Noise Oh, you want to hit people with garbage cans? 21:25, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Everyone got dropped and then reconnected. I guess my broadband dropped for a bit. Maybe I need to use a proper server CrundyTalk nerdy to me 22:23, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- I know someone who has one ;) Perhaps we can get this installed here? ħuman

- It's a windows application :\ I can set it up somewhere. We have a few EC2 servers, one of which is just a SQL Server witness with a few apps to manage failover so I could install it there. It would be a lot quicker as well. I am annoyed though, as I paid extra to get a more reliable broadband package with no traffic prioritisation, so we shouldn't have had any issues. Just bad timing I guess. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 09:00, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Nice one guys, I enjoyed that :) Even if I was rubbish. Mind you, I came second in the main tournament so it can't be all bad --Worm(t | c) 09:29, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- Exactly, you did really well. I thought you were making a comeback a few times against Marc at the end. CrundyTalk nerdy to me 09:33, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
