Why was I blocked?[edit]

Why was I blocked?

My sources were Salon, NPR, The Atlantic, the New York Times, The Hill, Pro Publica and the longtime Democratic strategist James Carville. These are hardly clickbait, troll sources. I am supporting my positions too.

I am getting the feeling that the website is an unfriendly, close-minded place where moderators shut down discussion. 9 hours isn't a long time for a block, but I shouldn't have been blocked in the first place.

To broaden your horizons, I suggest reading the book Despised: Why the Modern Left Loathes the Working Class by Paul Embery. Paul Embery is a firefighter, trade union activist and prominent proponent of Blue Labour. Another good book is The Middle Class: A History by the historian Lawrence James. James talks about the genuine concern the middle class in Britain had for the lower class in Britain. Moony235Wolfy (talk) 08:18, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Yeah - why have you been blocked? Acegodfuckingdamnit 09:55, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, LGM didn't even provide a reason.--Andrew5 (talk) 13:12, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
I suspect concern trolling, smelling suspiciously like previous banned concern trolls, the creation of multiple new accounts just to waste bytes in the Salon, block evasion, and moaning about "leftist woke" Ivy Leaguers while ignoring the oodles of Ivy League Republican governors. *shrug* PanGalacticGargleBlaster (talk) 15:25, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
I was expecting a response in the similar vein to other users that also complained about censorship, authoritarianism, etc. I was not disappointed. Right after I blocked, another new user came in and made another post in the same thread in a very similar vein. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 15:51, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
LGM, blocking in this case seems to be proving the person's point. If there's minor concern trolling in the Saloon/talk page, collapsing should be a better option. Moony235Wolfy is unblocked now. LGM, you're free to provide a more detailed explanation. Bongolian (talk) 19:40, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
I mean really? Minor concern trolling? Does that even need collapsing? I couldn't find a single edit even worthy of a collapse. No diff-links provided, no reasoning established. Just a block. Acegodfuckingdamnit 19:44, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Made a case here [1], not the entire diff, but the gist. Anyhow there has been a recent influx of concern trolling throughout the wiki. If you remember Dunbar (as well as Reefyc), the new user here has a very close commenting style to them as well as matching style. They talk in this overly bland, choppy way such as beginning sentences with conjunctions, often put sources at the end of what they're saying (not a sole indicator but it's a recurring pattern, they recently changed to hyperlinking a few words which tbf is similar to what I do but doesn't really cover for the prose), and break up their paragraphs into chunks. They also have a similar argumentation style where they're prodded for examples, clarification, etc. where they somewhat capitulate occasionally but often just continue rambling on in that same voice and continue making more talking points, which is an intellectually dishonest debate tactic. When you finally try to stop them via mild block, even a collapse, they comment on how close-minded and hostile the site is. In the meantime, reefyc has been oddly quiet after a giant discussion that wasted time, when reefyc hasn't even been blocked, when a new discussion regarding another troll started and is beginning to be drawn out in a very similar pattern. Yes, I've noted some other suspicious new users (such as one that came in and castigated GC for the collapse) but this one was active enough for me to decide to stop them for a few hours to first not have a discussion against a concern troll, one who's making "concerning the Democratic Party for the midterms" talking points extremely similar to a lot of trolls we removed from Saloon Bar prior, draw out and also see if they react in the way Dunbar and Reefyc acted. It was basically a light block. Sure, it might seem on a hunch and a bit weird out of context, but hope my justifications made sense. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 23:37, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

I deleted my password to the account Moony235Wolfy so I created this new account. I had a good reason for abandoning that account. It was because LeftyGreenMario (LGM) banned me for having the temerity to write something that LGM disliked. That is why LGM gave no explanation for the block. Notice that LGM is now giving a post facto explanation of "suspected concern trolling" and not "concern trolling". In civilized societies, punishment is given for actual bad behavior and not suspected bad behavior. I have zero regrets for abandoning the Moony235Wolfy account. I will return after the 2022 midterm elections. I suspect my "suspected concern trolling" will be seen as sensible political commentary then (at least by reasonable people who are able to admit they are wrong). Regardless, I cited facts from websites this wiki (or Wikipedia) would deem reliable sources to support what I wrote. There was no justifiable reason for my block. Go on. You're really good at making alts. I'm expecting you to quickly abandon this account too at some later point. That's what my personal time machine told me. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png 🎄LeftyGreenMario!🎄 01:18, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
I thought about things and gloating after the midterm elections and saying "I told you so" isn't necessary and my time could be better spent. Urban liberals/leftists who are often elitists and embrace "wokeness" will find out the hard way that ignoring the concerns and values of the working class is going to hurt them in elections. It might take a while for them to learn it, but they will learn it. W235M (talk) 13:26, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
