Thanks for the info. Of course me being me I managed to follow the wrong section…--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 15:47, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
No problem. Of course, it still only took two clicks to get here, since it was you who uploaded the image! Anyway, glad I could help. ħumanUser talk:Human 02:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

MTX[edit]

Is leukemia? I know a few on it - not nice. All sympathy & hopes for future. SusanG Toast 03:07, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Thankfully no. It's just arthritis (not much fun when you're 34, but a lot fucking better than cancer). Unfortunately I've been on MTX for three months now and I've been placed on the maximum dose so I get all the fun side effects. Whoopy. Of course, I get a side effect but then think that it could be a lot worse, so there you go. Swings and roundabouts.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 03:11, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Aah. (checks WP) Blame my one track mind. I'm afraid I alwaays think of C first. The side effects are no joke though, I understand. All the best. SusanG Toast 03:17, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the support and wishes. No need to take blame, everybody makes the same assumption, it's human nature to assume the worse when someone is on MTX.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 03:20, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Hobbit[edit]

I noted your WIGO:World item. The Hobbit is causing much controversy down this end of the world Unions, Actors, trouble is a foot. i9 21:30, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I heard that filming might be shipped to Blighty because of the problems. Guess that's what happens when you leave things to colonialists. Bring the filming to the motherland and we'll show you how to really cock it up.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 01:25, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

I just noticed your comment about screen resolution in the bar. Spectrum? –SuspectedReplicant retire me 21:57, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Yep, the ZX 48K but before that the TI99/4a which, as the name suggests, came from the future to terminate all nerds. It failed.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 22:40, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to fix this. mb 21:33, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

No probs, although I did manage too spam the recent changes doing it. An acheivement I suppose.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 21:37, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Angels[edit]

What are you doing? ТyTalk. 04:01, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Just uploading some of the 28mms I've modded and painted. Showing them on my Userpage at the mo. Don't know that they'll be of any other interest or use at the moment, unless I can somehow find a justification for having a 'How to paint a wargaming miniature' page, which I kind of doubt.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 04:06, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
There are at least 2 other miniature war-gamers on the site(take a look at my talk page). But I think we can all paint. Still, cool. ТyTalk. 04:19, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Brilliant! To be honest, part of me wanted to see how well they'd photograph as well, photography being something I have absolutely no interest or history in. Still, for a £14 second-hand HamShing on macro and a white-light bulb in my desklamp, they haven't come out too bad.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 04:22, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
You did good.ТyTalk. 04:23, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

mainspace as Serious Business. You see, there are two words there that aren't really my métier. Fringespace and frivolous Business, now that's my meteor.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 02:09, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Your new sig[edit]

Is marginally less confusing than your old one. Marginally. Whats with the chops? ТyTalk. 02:41, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

I think the X-wing icon looks like a vagina.--ADtalkModerator 02:45, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
At first I thought it was some sort of anthropod. ТyTalk. 02:46, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
(EC)Jabba de chops? Chops is one of those British only words that means lips and mouth, hence the phrase 'licking your chops'. The rest is just a play on Star Wars words so the whole thing means to jabber with the mouth, or talk. Funnily enough, I seem to remember that chops got misused in the States a bit, so it kinda means audacious courage (he had the balls to stand up to him, or, he had the chops to stand up to him). At a guess, I'd say that the word chops went to the States with the British and its use changed to jaw, rather than mouth, and of course, saying that somebody has jaw is a very old fashioned way to say that they have audacious courage. There you go, I made that far more complicated than I needed to.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 02:54, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay, what kind of vaginas have you been looking at? You might need a better monitor. Or access to a better vagina :-)--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 02:56, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Egypt, Redux.[edit]

Nice work. P-Foster (talk) 17:32, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, apologies if I came across a bit short, was aiming for a bantering tone and then had somebody lean over my shoulder and say, "What the fuck did that guy do to you?". Definitely need to start using emoticons!--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 17:36, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Not a problem. FWIW, wiki articles are never "finished," so no time like the present for a fact tag, I say. I still think "civil war" is a weak claim -- it's not like there was a viable guerrilla force/armed resistance movement in play -- but you're right, some folks thought that. Also, I hope you don't mind the copy-editing of the text; just aiming for a bit more consistency and flow. P-Foster (talk) 17:41, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
No, no, not a problem. The only problem I have is with " over '. The problem there is that a) I'm British, so I know that the use of " for quotes is wrong, that's for speech denomination, and I don't care what the rest of the world says, they're wrong! and b) there are parts of the article that use " for sarcasm, and ' for quotes. Oh, and considering the article's probably going to have about 30 cites or so, one fact tag dropped in the middle of the text was hilarious!--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 17:55, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm still waiting for somebody to point out that a)'s meant to be the other way round. No, nobody? Bugger.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 18:05, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Ah - go for singel quotes, go for double, or go for italics -- my problem was the inverted commas and italics. Pick one or the other, both looks weird. P-Foster (talk) 18:35, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Bugger, I thought we were meant to be weird. Ah well.--Stunteddwarf Spirit of the Cherry Blossom 18:39, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

What happened over your education? Proxima Centauri (talk) 01:39, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm going to reapply to Durham through UCAS, see if I can get into the course via the Foundation School, and if that doesn't work then wait until next year to see if there's enough student interest at Coleg Morgannwg for them to run the A2 parts of the course there. At least, that's the theory. I just heard from my GP yesterday that the past two set of bloods taken because I'm on MTX show a massively elevated ALT count for my liver so I'm going to have to see what's going on there first and how it might effect me before I start doing the applications. In many ways, not a good end to the year.--Stunteddwarf Jabba de Chops 10:04, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

If you're well enough you could try learning the maths you need online without grants. Ask advice from people who know more about maths than I do. I don't know if you could get Durham to accept you without official qualifications or if you could do qualifications after online courses. Certainly it will make any college course you do easier. If you're learning online you're not under pressure to complete the course in a set time. You can work when you're well enough and take things easy when you need to. Fun. Given that previous screenshots of mine have also included tabs for Informed Consent I'm not somebody overly worried about revealing stuff like that, nor can I see why I should be. It's not like I've stuck my bank details up there.--Stunteddwarf Jabba de Chops 10:27, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
