Can't it just be put in the Conservapedia:Sysops page? --*Gen. S.T. Shrink* Get to the bunker 17:16, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
AFD[edit]
Outside of the extreme cults (Moonies or Scientologist for example) I'm not sure that the particular flavour of users religion is particularly relevant. The length to which they use that religion to counter rational thought on the other hand... AFD? Silver Sloth 17:51, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
When did I become Jewish[edit]
When did I become Jewish? --TherealDeborah 00:16, 29 July 2008 (EDT)?
- I suppose someone thought Deborah was a typically Jewish name. Do I take it you're not? ContribsTalk 00:19, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Around the time you began what appears to be your kosher obsession. -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:20, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I would create more articles on cp:Islam on conservapedia, but I know muslim legends, not their laws, I have in the past edited cp:Hinduism and cp:Zoroastrianism articles also. Why is it when I edited all the hindu article no one said I was hindu?--TherealDeborah 00:23, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Well edited that girl. (you do know who was taken to a "High place" of power, I take it? ContribsTalk 00:24, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

More importantly[edit]
Why do you do those ridiculous redirects? tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:25, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
If someone makes a typo in google or yahoo, conservapedia will be the first result --TherealDeborah 00:26, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Not true though, mediawiki makes redirects into referral html which google ignores. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:28, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I sincerely doubt anyone will type "Hussein Obama, Barack" -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:29, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
For example see: this google didn't index the page. It only indexes the actual page. So it is really doing nothing but wasting your time. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:30, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
If someone makes a typo in conservapedia, it will take them to the article they want to see --TherealDeborah 00:31, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
if it is counted as referral, that would increase ranking of conservapedia articles--TherealDeborah 00:32, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- So your hours of effort is designed to maybe one day save one person having to go back and correct their spelling? Ok. It is not counted as a referral. See the link to google, google completely ignores the page, it does not index it, does not keep track of it in any manner what-so-ever. It is ignored by search engines. The only thing that "cares" is the mediawiki software, and it seems a whole lot of work for very little. Just saying your time is better spent elsewhere. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:34, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Creating redirects prevents duplicate articles being created, I have seen countless number of these on conservapedia --TherealDeborah 00:36, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Meaningful redirects are fine, and noble work, such as plurals to the singular, or common acronyms to the main article. But every perturbation of capital letters in Main Page? tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:37, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I will drop the issue, but it just seems like it is a lot of effort for what is in reality, nothing. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:38, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Again, I doubt anyone will search for Hussein Obama, Barack. I can completely understand a lot of them, like John S. McCain and Barack H. Obama, and the other ones like Wikipedia has but it seems a tad ridiculous. But what else is there to do with everybody reverting any edits they judge as liberal. -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:39, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I was tempted to take the longer article name on the site and right a bot to sit there and do every single perturbation of capital and lower case letter combination till it was blocked, see how many I could get. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:40, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- On that subject Trent, what does Wikipedia do to make it not matter what the capital letters do. Or is it a gazillion redirects? -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:43, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- wp:Category:Redirects from other capitalisations its the Deborah's of the world on crack, my personal opinion is that it is a total waste, but on wikipedia you have plenty of people to do the job. On CP it should be at the bottom of the list of things to worry about. But, again, whatever. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:46, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

I think you mean Obama, Barack Hussein I myself sometimes use that format for example searching for Washington, George --TherealDeborah 00:42, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Well of course, Obama, Barack. Why hussein in there? (This isn't doing the you're a racist because you aknowledge his name thing.) Who types Hussein? -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:43, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
If you could make a bot to do permuation of capital and lower case letters for cp:Main Page, cp:Atheism, and cp:Homosexuality, it would be greatly appreciated although you would need to get permission --TherealDeborah 00:44, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Deborah I could very easily make a bot to do exactly that, but no one at CP will give me permission to run a bot on it. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:47, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Which language could you write that bot in? --TherealDeborah 00:50, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- The easiest to write it in is perl since I have all the functions set up. I could write it in PHP as well but would be clunkier cause I don't have optimized functions. I can also do them in python, lisp, and ruby, but don't know why you would want to do those. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:52, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- (like (some (people)) lisp) --Shagie 01:13, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

I have sometimes heard people refer to cp:John McCain as John Sidney McCain, I have also heard people like cp:Ann Coulter refer to cp:Barack Obama as B. Hussein Obama --TherealDeborah 00:46, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I doubt anyone on the sight would trust tmtoulouse to work with the code of the very sight. Yes. I also know these people who insist on saying B. Hussein Obama. They are idiots. But Hussein Obama, Barack. Who types that when OBAMA works just as good. -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:48, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Hussein Obama, Barack does not redirect to cp:Obama on cp:Conservapedia --TherealDeborah 00:56, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Obama, Barack Hussein; B. H. Obama; Junior Senator Obama; Jr. Senator Obama; LOUIS FARRAKHAN? -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:59, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Bots don't require working with the site code, I can create a bot from my computer that runs on CP, but still even that would not meet with approval I am sure. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:50, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- Could you email the coding, I am going back to school soon, and I am majoring in cp:Computer Science, I could easily get the bot to work, and may get permission from cp:Conservapedia --TherealDeborah 00:54, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

- Perl should be fine --TherealDeborah 00:57, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I assume you have e-mail enabled on CP or RW? I will get too it sometime this week it, I am supposedly writing up my research this year for publication, and have another side project for someone from this site, then will come the CP bot. tmtoulouse beleaguer 00:58, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

Can you make a bot that does it for all articles except for caps, for example ANTEATER redirects to anteater --TherealDeborah 01:01, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
tmtoulouse, I do not think that Andy would like the bot, to be honest --TherealDeborah 01:04, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- I've heard people refer to Andrew Schlafly as "an idiot", but I wouldn't expect to search for him under that name. (Or would I?) ContribsTalk 00:51, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
- And the one that really shows how glorified and mature Schlafly is. "Professor" Barack Obama. Even liberals don't say that. -- Gen. S.T. Shrink Get to the bunker 00:52, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

- The whole capital permutation thing is plain stupid. I mean who would even accidently type MaIn PaGe? And even if I did type WaShInGtOn by mistake where does it go? It goes straight to Washington without any redirect! Why even bother to make a redirect for a typo to the main page when there are already two links (logo and text) on the left hand side of the page. OK someone might make a typo in an article but guess what, if it matters then you are alerted by a red link. Surely it is more sensible to correct the red link than have hundreds of redirects? By and large the search box will ignore capitalisation. It's mainly in the URL address bar where a difference in case really matters. GenghisYou have the right to be offended; and I have the right to offend you. 03:28, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Capitalization bot[edit]
The bot can do almost anything you want it to do, if you are really interested in computer science I will set up the basic frame work for the bot and send it over and would suggest you look into expanding it for the practice. I am happy to help you, I have e-mailed you through CP, check that e-mail and get back to me. tmtoulouse beleaguer 01:05, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Welcome, by the way[edit]
Deborah - it seems no-one has actually rolled out our by this stage rather ragged, cheaply made, short, but well intentioned red carpet for you? In which case, may I? We would like to welcome you to RW, and we hope you'll stick around and get involved in the debate. You know that we disagree about many things, but we won't bite too badly and we will never block you from saying whatever you wish to say. Please feel free to engage us on any topics of your choice. We might learn something, and we hope you might learn something too.
And good luck with your studies. DogP 02:29, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
