Bernardo Kastrup is a "celebrated metaphysicist"[1] and author of a large number of books and anthology articles in the genre. As a computer engineering Ph.D., his cited publications are an odd mix of hard science and esoteric philosophy.

A typical claim of Kastrup's is that "some are starting to suspect that matter itself is an illusion — and that the only real thing is information."[2]

Physicist Sean Carroll harshly criticized Kastrup's argument.[3]

Kastrup refers to Deepak Chopra's ISHAR's activities as a "major archetypal battle" and says donating money to ISHAR is "your historical opportunity to join this battle".[4]

Kastrup additionally authored an article entitled "The Idealist Interpretation of Pandeism" for publication in Pandeism: An Anthology (2017).[5]

Artist Ed Kerns cites Kastrup as an inspiration.[6]
