Fascism in iran will not be Zoroastrian.[edit]
Zoroastrianism has on the low side of things 15,000 people following it in iran. And at best 25,271 people as of 2012. That is not the religion that will be the main focus of a hypothetical Iranian Fascist Movement. — Unsigned, by: 2601:281:d880:ded0:59a6:ec:fe5d:cc8a / talk / contribs
- Yes, it's highly unlikely it could ever happen. The in legacy section on the Davud Monshizadeh, you wrote as if it was an inevitability ("Regardless of his current obscurity, when fascism takes power in countries such as Iran … Monshizadeh will be brought out of obscurity as a revered fascist scholar amongst the genocidal new regime that has taken power…). It needs rewriting Bongolian (talk) 03:42, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- I did look up fascist movements in Iran, and it doesn't seem to have much to do with Islam. Also, the number of Zoroastrians worldwide is 200,000, and it's been slowly growing because Iranian youth are embracing Zoroastrianism. Rational Dude (talk) 08:48, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not even sure that SUMKA is even active anymore. — Unsigned, by: 2601:281:d880:ded0:c4ae:29d4:97bf:3ef2 / talk / contribs
- Sumka seems to be underground if anything.Rational Dude (talk) 11:46, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- The Muslim population of Iran is also growing, so the argument that the number of Zoroastrians is growing is besides the point. The seemingly implied idea that 200,000 or so Zoroastrians will move to Iran and create a fascist state among the 74 million or so Muslims in Iran is absurd. I don't think it's deniable that there are fascistic elements of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Whether it meets the criterion of full fascism is more debatable. Bongolian (talk) 18:20, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Now I see your argument. But I still think that Zoroastrian nationalism could grow alongside Neo-nazism on Internet forums in Iran. The number of Iranian youth becoming radicalized into neo-nazism is currently small, but it's growing. And if there's one thing you should never do, it's underestimate fascists, despite their stupidity.

- As for Iran, it doesn't really seem to qualify much as fascist, and you could argue that China and North Korea are fascist because they have similar conditions to Iran. Not all authoritarian regimes are necessarily fascist.Rational Dude (talk) 20:53, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- There is a reason why paganism wasn't the official state religion of nazi germany.— Unsigned, by: 2601:281:D880:DED0:C4AE:29D4:97BF:3EF2 / talk / contribs

- I know, but I mean nazis themselves are usually pagans. Rational Dude (talk) 10:35, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- 'The nazis themselves were usually pagans'. Oh god, it burns. I think only really Himmler and his inner circle were pagans. The rest were either atheist, deists, or some batshit form of christianity. And again, there is a reason as to why Paganism wasn't the official state religion of nazi germany.— Unsigned, by: 2601:281:D880:DED0:C4AE:29D4:97BF:3EF2 / talk / contribs
- Well, I still think a Zoroastrian fascist state could emerge given what I’ve seen and read. It may seem anecdotal and conflicting depending on the source, but many of them show what I’ve feared will happen. Only time will tell if my prediction comes to pass, and although I hope it doesn’t, time has shown us that things will always goes south. Rational Dude (talk) 21:42, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
- This is like saying that American Fascism will be pagan or islamic because of the increased interest and increased members of the religion. And what are you reading? I have read all of your sources that you linked, none of them mention Zoroastrianism.— Unsigned, by: 2601:281:D880:DED0:C4AE:29D4:97BF:3EF2 / talk / contribs
- No, but there are some non christian fascist groups like the jewish defense league and the nation of islam that have some influential followings in society, and they could grow if the circumstances are in their favor. As for Zoroastrianism, it's possible that they'd be inspired by Hindutva and believe that Iran is a purely white/aryan/Zoroastrian country and attempt to revive Zoroastrianism because they use Zoroastrian symbols. - Hinduism was already pretty big in india, they didn't need to revive it from the fucking grave, so I don't think that's accurate. — Unsigned, by: 2601:281:d880:ded0:24e7:3603:7c1e:2bfe / talk / contribs
- Well, I disagree, anything can be revived if there's a significantly large and energetic movement. I think it’s still best to be vigilant against fascism no matter what form it takes. Also, you should probably make an account before commenting on posts. Rational Dude (talk) 11:46, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Fascism will not come to Iran with a Zoroastrian priest leading it, instead it will be led by a Shia Imam. — Unsigned, by: 2601:281:d880:ded0:2ded:15b7:15f5:c02 / talk / contribs
