Can we please block this person from writing more terrible essays? Is it okay that I just delete the future essays this person writes? --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 22:08, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
- I wouldn't unilaterally delete his essays, which is why I restored this one since it was deleted without due process. We either need to go through a deletion process for each individual essay, host a sitewide vote, or elaborate on the standards/expectations for essayspace, in a way that would exclude this sort of content (namely "sermons" and such) so that the unilateral authority to delete essays someone doesn't like doesn't go beyond the barely comprehensible screeds of EiK. His Essay:The Cult of Taylor Swift was deleted the "right way" because it was particularly egregious and possibly libelous. He even compared Swifties to the Hitler youth and some such. Other than that, he TECHNICALLY really hasn't broken any rules, regarding essayspace or anything else. --Taylor Swift lover (talk) 12:56, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- The "he hasn't broken any rules" defense is getting tiresome. RationalWiki shouldn't have to cover every single bit of what one can and can't do. This person has been told multiple times by multiple users to knock off abusing the essay space and he has ignored every single request to write better and especially not in a disruptive tone. What do we gain by leaving Elvis is King free to reign on these essays? Again, RationalWiki isn't a squawk box. If this person wants to post ramblings somewhere else, then we're not stopping him. --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 19:55, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Personally, I like having Elvis as our court jester. RoninMacbeth (talk) 20:31, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- He kinda wore his welcome for me with his use of slurs and labeling people he doesn't like as "autistic". --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 20:46, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I admit that is kind of grating. But still, he can be amusing for his sheer idiocy. However, if you can make a case in the coop for why he should be banned, I might be inclined to vote with you. RoninMacbeth (talk) 20:52, 11 January 2018 (UTC)

Say what you mean![edit]
Can we delete this purely on the basis of its stupid asterisks? Doesn't RW follow Wikipedia's sensible policy of "Wikipedia is not censored"? Failing that, can I replace the asterisks with letters of my choosing? --Gospatric (talk) 17:09, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- It’s an essay, so no. Christopher (talk) 17:10, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
Question.[edit]
Is this essay about Trump? I honestly can't tell from reading it due to the author's shitty syntax. Comrade GC (talk) 17:18, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yes, "Wicked Donny" is Trump. --Taylor Swift lover (talk) 17:22, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
