Delete[edit]

  1. Not really about fairies. Is mostly a comparison to theistic/creationist arguments for the existence of God. Little information is given on traditional folklore, the evolution of their perception, and debunking claims of existence. Would be open to moving to funspace, or a rewrite by Smerdis or any person with knowledge of folklore. RoninMacbeth (talk) 17:24, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
I've gone ahead and moved the article to funspace without leaving a redirect. If anybody would like to start a new and informative article about fairies, that would be great. But there really wasn't anything salvageable on the page that we had. Spud (talk)

  • I pretty much agree with everything RoninMacbeth said above. And I'm delighted that we've moved on from just taking the piss out of Christians to actually wanting to provide some information about the topic that a page is nominally about. Improving the page is definitely a job for Smerdis of Tion and most of what's on the current page could be moved to funspace. So, yeah, what Ronin said but don't delete just yet.Spud (talk) 13:07, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
  • It could be heavily edited (and maybe split into fun and serious), but amid the total lies there is some valid information about fairies, particularly in the section "Modern and historical sightings of fairy-like creatures". The Cottingley Fairies and such. There's also a lot which seems to be mocking real things but is just made up crap (Rodney Herbert O'Gould). I don't see any reason to keep the "Evidence for fairies" section though. --Gospatric (talk) 13:17, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
