this page is concurrent with point 3 "Explorations of authoritarianism and fundamentalism" Low computer battery (talk) 16:06, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
I don't immediately see those point explicitly mentioned. (Though there are certainly references to right and left wing political institutions: either of which could be authoritarian.) Could you tell me where authoritarianism and fundamentalism are mentioned in clear relation to the mission statements?Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 16:25, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
This strike and the Landtag referendum, 1931 seem to have become historical footnotes in the rise of Nazi Germany. The main relevance to RW would seem to be that they're instances of Nazi-communist cooperation. Bongolian (talk) 16:32, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
I totally agree that it would be an instance of Nazi-communist cooperation. But are we going to suggest that every event which involved either Nazis or Communists would be covered by the mission statements? Because that would include not only the the complete history of the Weimar Republic but also the virtual entirety of the Second World War and, arguably, the entirety of the Cold War as well. If we go down that route it's difficult to see what element of modern history couldn't be included.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 17:18, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Honestly, I have my own problems with this article. It doesn't go into the reasons why the strike happened too much, making it seem a bit like a "Hitler ate sugar" argument. It also briefly mentions clashes between the Nazis and communists, but doesn't go into detail about that at all. The article also really doesn't state how this event factors into the future of red-brown collaboration. Honestly, this seems more like a piece trying to say Nazis and communists are the same just because they participated in the same strike rather than an honest exploration of the relationship between the two groups in Weimar-era Germany. I agree that red-brown alliances were a thing back then, the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact being a good example, but this article does a poor job of making that case. Merge[edit]

There was an agreement to merge to National Bolshevism, but nobody did anything about it. There was a clear consensus that this didn't deserve a standalone page. Plutocow (talk) 18:27, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

While people seemed to agree that the page shouldn't be standalone, the vote whenever to delete it or merge it seemed evenly split. I suppose we just dedicate a few sentences in National Bolshevism mentioning the event, which is practically a delete. However, the current state of the National Bolshevism article doesn't have a clear spot for it, so I suggest we first edit that page first and then decide what to do with this article. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 18:45, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
