Head living after beheading[edit]
Is it proper to add that to the page, or is that still too up in the air to be considered applicable? --Revolverman (talk) 03:35, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- If you have something to add, please do so. All contributions great or small are welcomed. --DamoHi 04:31, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Here is a possible place to start. Although the straight dope is not exactly a wonderful source to quote, it is generally pretty good and is good for giving further things to look at. --DamoHi 04:37, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link. I'll see if there are any better sources on it, but for now, I'll add a small write up on the possibility and the implications of it. --Revolverman (talk) 04:52, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- If nothing else, that link can be an "interesting" footnote. ħuman 05:25, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- FWIW, I think that the sudden loss of pressure within the spinal column and the lack of blood (needed by the eyes) would severely limit the brain's ability to process such visual information as it might receive from the orbs before going into shut-down mode, (massive release of endorphins), death. The ears maybe a bit longer. 05:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC) C®ackeЯ
- I guess by its very nature, the question is kinda unfalsifiable. --Revolverman (talk) 05:35, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Or at least pretty sick to experiment on. The fact that the blood flow instantly stops would tend to make repeated conscious muscle action highly dubious. But I can see how the warm meat might display interesting actions for a few moments, even ones interpreted by observers as "conscious". Idea: let's decapitate Goonie and see how many of us he can kill with his bass via telepathic contact with his body before we can hold him down. ħuman 05:59, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think it's so much unfalsifiable as untestable. So really you hold any idea you like as it's unprovable either way.--BobSpring is sprung! 15:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

You guys need to wake up they're now talking about how lethal injection isn't working anymore, and how theyre going to bring back beheading.--67.5.250.119 (talk) 08:38, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- If we have cranks going "ZOMG APOCALYPSE" at it, then for sure - David Gerard (talk) 12:56, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- So far I can't find any cranks going off at Kozinski's suggestion, though I'll note it in the article - David Gerard (talk) 16:36, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
30000 Guillotines in America![edit]
Another rant by GoodFight310, who, apparently, is branching out from Saturn-cult conspiracy theories, but still doesn't understand how to sign these rants. For a(n unpleasant if comical) view into the mental world of GoodFight310, I've moved this rant to go with the others by the same author at Forum:Cult of Satorn: A Conspiracy Theory. Best regards from your faithful crank collector, ScepticWombat (talk) 10:04, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
