2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Fishing lures[edit]

Yes, fishing lures!! Got read the external links on this!--Bobbing up 09:51, 1 August 2008 (EDT)

I added a joke footnote to that a while back. Of course, this article's subject is already a joke. --GastonRabbit (talk) 23:13, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Question for CP historicians[edit]

How does the CP establishment view someone like this Harun? A positive (Creationist) or negative (Muslim) example? Editor at CPLiar at RP! 07:31, 19 September 2008 (EDT)

I would guess that it would be an overall negative. In CP's eyes, being a Muslim is orders of magnitude more negative than being a creationist is positive. --Edgerunner76 09:07, 19 September 2008 (EDT)
BUT using his arguments would be perfectly fine I guess. :-D Editor at CPLiar at RP! 09:16, 19 September 2008 (EDT)
CP doesn't really need to use "his" arguements since all creationist arguments are just a constant rehashing of the same stuff. So, CP can probably find dozens of Christians to pick from to attribute a particular argument to that is also used by Yahya. --Edgerunner76 10:02, 19 September 2008 (EDT)

Reward Misunderstanding[edit]

By the way, 10 trillion Turkish Lira is not THAT much. There is a little misunderstanding here. A couple years ago, Turkey redefined the outdated currency: 1 New Turkish Lira equals 1.000.000 old Turkish Lira. Most of the people, habitually, use the older unit. Thus, 10 trillion here is actually 10 million New Turkish Liras, somewhere around 7 million dollars. Lordkhuzdul 09:01, 20 December 2008 (EST)

Seven million dollars? No, not that much at all really.--Bobbing up 21:47, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Very amusing lie mistake[edit]

This actually made me laugh.see here for the lie, and here for the truth.

plus, right at the end of this is a lie so big, I have doubts even a child could fall for this!--Thedoctor80 (talk) 20:46, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
