FAKE!!![edit]

THE MOST FAKE FOSSIL NAUTILUS IN THE WORLD!!![1](it's at the bottom)I guess we can accept this from the same guy who can't tell the difference between a fly and a fishing lure with a hook sticking out.--Thedoctor80 (talk) 18:50, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

I guess that some of the graphics have been stolen from another website or taken from a clip-art collection. The whole website has a very 1990s look to it. --ZooGuard (talk) 19:10, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Two observations. 1) The source code has no CSS in it. At all. Even Time Cube has more sophisticated source code 2) The background, the comic sans font, the puppies and flowers combined with the fact that this is Harun Yahya leads me to suggest that this is the creepiest fucking site on the internet. I mean, seriously, I'm not saying anything libellous about Yahya, just that if I wanted to groom young children via the internet... Scarlet A.pngd hominem 19:21, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
That 'fossil' is proof of lies told by creationists. How can anyone take them seriously?--Thedoctor80 (talk) 20:46, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Paranoid schizophrenia[edit]

That was overruled by a state forensic council. [2] Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 07:26, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

Why doesn't this article explore his sexual perversions/cult leadership?[edit]

Because people who know enough to bitch about it don't care enough to do anything about it. Peace. AgingHippie (talk) 02:01, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Added a mention of it. Feel free to flesh (heh) it out. CorruptUser (talk) 02:25, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
There's a few citations about Harun in here, but I haven't read all of them fully through, just enough to support the basic claims of being prolific and dumb. I know that one of them is a pretty extensive biography of his life. FuzzyCatPotato!™ (talk/stalk) 02:29, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
I rewrote the sex cult bit, because I'm not sure that it fits the bill. Yahya's doesn't seem to be a sex cult in the sense that sex is central to its theology, nor involve the kind of sexual domination by a guru as in the case of, say, David Koresh or some of the Indian gurus. Instead, it would seem that sex is mainly used to generate blackmail material to either keep members in the cult (for fear of publication of compromising footage) or to blackmail outsiders into supporting the cult. ScepticWombat (talk) 07:19, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Oh, my, the Balkanist article is the one about "diamond-studded Versace bondage gear" (I suggest actually watching the embedded video). I think that RW should be very careful with using that as a source.--ZooGuard (talk) 09:49, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

My thoughts exactly. That's why I toned down the emphasis on that article and instead referenced its sources (the Balkanist's Lilly Lynch doesn't seem to have done much in the way of original research, but merely a rather sensationalist write-up based on existing material). I had read about the sex blackmail allegations before, but nothing about Yahya's posse being a sex cult, or Yahya being some kind of pervert as the headline of this article suggests. If someone can/will bother to work their way through the Swedish doctoral dissertation on Yahya and his cult, that might provide some interesting stuff. Though the dissertation also seems to rely on second-hand sources, it especially emphasises the Turkish context of Yahya & Co. ScepticWombat (talk) 10:12, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

This is the Bryan Fischer of Turkey[edit]

This guy is similar to Bryan Fischer, an ultra fundamentalist who seems to hate gays and thinks evolutionists should be arrested. — Unsigned, by: Crayzee Dawg 101 / talk / contribs (signed by bot) 01:20, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
