Talk:Michael Jackson
Not even close to on-mission yet. You gotta start with on-mission, not wonder how you're gonna get there, with articles like this. Was he a debunker or promoter? I see nothing of interest here. ħuman 02:17, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
- This is a disappointing article. The initial request said that MJ was articleworthy because of all the conspiracies about his death. Instead these theories are mentioned in passing, with no analysis. It's jackiespeel all over again (and for whom I would like to apologise for inviting here in the first place). - There is an aspect of Michael Jackson that is very mission-relevant: the media coverage of his trial (especially Charles Thomson's editorial on the subject). If you read the entire account of the trial on Wikipedia, the prosecution is a complete joke, yet the media had nearly everyone convinced that he simply bought his way out of paedophilia charges.--Colossal Squid (talk) 02:33, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

And today "Michael Jackson Changed Our Lives" is trending on Twitter, the UK at least (I'm not UK-ian but I chose their trends). Still don't know what the reason is, guess the fans just can't shut up. (Definitely less annoying than constant Bieber-trends.) — Haamer (talk) 17:49, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
(Still/again trending worldwide. Still been dead for three years. I call paranormal.) — Haamer (talk) 19:16, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Elephant in the room[edit]
Um......Okay.....So, the guy at the very least gave something called jesus juice to kids, slept in a bed with them and seemed extremely curious about their bodies, but the part that offends rationalwiki is spoon bending, hooky religion, and conspiracy theories? Get your fucking priorities straight. Maybe if he was a Catholic priest then the cult of the rational would think it worthy of mention. What...The...Fuck? Burkean (talk) 22:34, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Having religion makes you bad?[edit]
Would someone please explain to me how being a Jehova's Witness, a Muslim, a Kabbalist, or married to a Scientologist is bad? Also, if you're going to say someone's religious beliefs were fringe, you have to back that up with examples of that person espousing/proclaim/doing fringe things. Somebody, please clean/clear this up! Rand0 (talk) 05:11, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
I think it was supposed to be a gag. Related to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson_albums_discography (Using this logic, the next header might have been "Dangerous".) --Chair tater (talk) 09:23, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
La Toya Jackson[edit]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd9sADSWYA8
Michael Jackson's sister claims that Michael was murdered (he was technically), Conrad Murray was framed (what?), and there is a group behind the scenes controlling everything, and that she always wonders who's next, etc. Forgive me if this isn't the entire context of both interviews.--ReptoidKiller (talk) 20:36, 1 December 2014 (UTC)
- Seriously guys, he's right. In that video, La Toya DOES say in TWO interviews, that Michael was murdered by the Illuminati. Check it out... Unless you guys are denialists. The proof is right there.--67.5.250.119 (talk) 01:18, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

- Still waiting. If you can't answer, then admit you're wrong.--67.5.250.119 (talk) 04:50, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Well, it looks like you guys can't refute this. So you admit La Toya Jackson, Michael Jackson's SISTER, in the video above, has shown that the Illuminati exist, and they murdered Michael Jackson?--67.5.250.119 (talk) 06:12, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Uh, you've proved that you don't know even the most basic details on the Jackson family, but still expect people to listen to your insistent proclamation s on the subject? No thanks. Also, "if you don't respond to my attention-seeking comments you must be admitting I'm right" is really not a compelling argument. Please stop posting here. There are plenty of sites willing to host this illuminati junk but a lot of us are getting fed up with seeing you & others spamming it around on RationalWiki. ₩€₳$€£ΘĪÐMethinks it is a Weasel 02:06, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

WELL?--67.5.250.119 (talk) 14:27, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Just curious, how does she prove the Illuminati exist without ever using the word "Illuminati"? That video contains more "proof" of the ridiculous notion that Micheal's ghost is haunting Neverland than it does that he was murdered by an international conspiracy or whatever. What a bunch of credulous nonsense. Marlow (talk) 15:45, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Not that I'm trying to defent the BoN, but, what exactly WAS she talking about? Did she become batshit crazy like Paris Jackson?--サトセレ (talk) 16:02, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Who knows. The video had her comments all chopped up and taken out of context. I do know that by the end of his life Michael Jackson had surrounded himself with a whole cadre of strange people that exercised a great deal of control over his life and I'd assume that's what she's talking about. There's absolutely zero evidence in that video that an international conspiracy was involved in his death. There is however pretty good evidence that a shadow/Michael Jackson's ghost is haunting Neverland Ranch. Marlow (talk) 16:20, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

I came across this video a one point, because of a friend of mine. It claims Michael Jackson is talking about the Iluminati in a banned radio interview. It does seem pretty eerie, but I actually think it's probably fake for these reasons:
- that's the same voice for Michael used in the fake Robert Connors "whistleblower" video Prince EA released to promote an album. he made a persona called Robert Connors, claiming to be an FBI whistleblower, showing Michael Jackson's last phonecall allegedly with Dieter Weisner. Robert Connor says if the FBI doesn't release the truth about all other celebrities deaths, he will by Sept. 23. When that rolled by, Prince EA came cleam, and his new album was released.
My point: I don't think it's that hard to replicate that voice.
- He didn't even mention the Illuminati. Therefore he could be talking about any conspiracy.
- The author said John Branca was fired in 2002 for "suspicious things". What does this have to do with anything?
- The length they go to quote-mine it. Transcript of whole convo:
