After this drama occurred, Vaush and his admins/mods White Nervosa and Rodriguez commented that he was trying to dissociate from his old moniker IrishLaddie in favor of VaushVidya, which he had already been using for some time, in order to deflect some backlash. Since the event, Vaush has released all the logs from the event, apologised extensively for his behaviour, and has promised to do better in future.[39]

Aye, edit done. Thank you for the suggestion. The page is protected because we kept getting driveby Vaush haters and Vaush stans and having the page locked at least limits it a bit. Techpriest (talk) 18:37, 19 August 2021 (UTC)

"Libertarian Socialism" Error[edit]

This article seems to imply that libertarian socialism is a kind of "pro-free market" socialism. It is not. The "libertarian" in "libertarian socialism" has nothing to do with the peculiarly US-only definition of "libertarian" which is called "liberalism" in Europe and elsewhere. Libertarian socialism is anarchic socialism - a socialism organized around free associations of workers owning the means of production rather than a central state organization. It is essentially the same a anarcho-sindicalism. — Unsigned, by: 71.112.181.59 / talk

Antisemitic conspiracy theories[edit]

He defended recently a nazi conspiracy theroies supporting Jewish people holded disproporcionate number of banking rulling during the Weimar Republic: https://twitter.com/jewish_activist/status/1481666276636385282?s=20 — Unsigned, by: 2A0C:5A80:380B:1500:2C8F:B287:5E61:B9C6 / talk / contribs

He didn't. Mostly because that's not the Nazi conspiracy theory (and it's ahistorical to claim otherwise). Jewish people had a disproportionate representation during the Weimar Republic in the financial sector. This is pretty well documented and largely has to do with religious persecution; Christians by and large couldn't do most jobs in the financial sector (due to religious doctrines surrounding lending money) and since finance work is pretty flexible in terms of where you live (it's always needed), Jewish people were largely shunted to do those kinds of jobs since they wouldn't get hired anywhere and it gave them an easy way to move around. The "conspiracy" element isn't "Jewish people were overrepresented in the financial sector"; it was a bunch of other nonsensical anti-semetic crap thrown on top of it. To give you a contrast; it's not a conspiracy theory to point out that most tech CEOs are white guys. It would be a conspiracy to say that they are all secretly plotting to rule over the world. There's an observation and there's a moral judgement. The moral judgement is what turns it from an observation into a conspiracy theory. The entire reason it came up in the first place is because Vaush was trying to prove that you can't fit everything into dialectical materialism; he was debating someone who basically thought having a coherent moral framework was unneeded; Vaush used this to showcase that his logic ("it's okay to rise up against every oppressor") could be used to justify the Holocaust. -- Techpriest (talk) 14:41, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

Bill Gates is the fourth, not second richest person in the world.[edit]

Jewish wealth due to usury laws?[edit]

Not sure this is relevant to the wealth of Mark Zuckerberg or Sergei Brin. (There may be sociological/historical reasons why 5 of 10 richest Americans are Jewish, but it can't be solely due to European usury laws.) Do we even need this in the article? --Annanoon (talk) 10:46, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

It's really not needed. I'd say remove it. Inmate XIII (talk) 10:52, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
