In which Pi wonders what hell he has unleashed on the world, someone tries alliteration but misses the point by a mile, and we stare at some goats for a minute or two.
Demotion[edit]
Looks like you are the final victim in out week of demotions. There is a help page somewhere, you can find it yourself. 09:55, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
- Thank you very much, I shall follow the set example and abuse the power whenever neccesssary. Armondikov 09:58, 31 August 2008 (EDT)

Your talk page link script[edit]
...is exactly like the phase my three year old is going through, and every time I see it, I am reminded of her contrary retorts. Anything I say to her gets contradicted, such as:
Me: "I need to wipe your face." Her: "I need to wipe your face!"
Me: "It's time to go to bed." Her: "It's time for you to go to bed!"
Me: "Hey, let's go outside and play." Her: "No, you go outside and play!"
So stop feeding her ideas, already. OK? The Foxhole Atheist 13:30, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Homeopathy[edit]
Excellent work on the homeopathy article, I really appreciate the work you have put in. It's a topic of personal significance for me, and that article is my primary line of defense against some major inter-family squabbles. tmtoulouse 15:30, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing. I have to admit that most of it is coming from the chapter in Bad Science, but I doubt it matters too much. I'm sure it could be spruced up with a few more images or something. I'll see what I can do. theist 18:10, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Quote[edit]
"You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into" is my favorite thing I've heard in a while. Who said it? I wish I could go back to high school and put that as my senior quote, it's fantastic.--EcheNegraMente When everyone around me's busy drowning, I float 20:01, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure where it may have originatied but I know it was in Bad Science by Ben Goldacre, if I remember rightly, he was discussion MMR and other hysteria. theist 13:45, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Support or oppose the Science namespace[edit]
Armondikov. After hearing the previous debates on the matter, I decided to call the matter to question. Since you responded to my original exhortation in the community standards talk page. I would appreciate it if you'd mosey on over to the debate page and cast a vote. Congratulations on your penguin-ness. 18:25, 11 January 2009 (EST)
- I'm now split on the idea, give me a little while to mull it over before I commit to a vote :S I'm almost going with Pi on it that we have a referrence section along with the main articles, but the broadness would then make it easy to confuse science and mainspaces... Vandal[edit]
I note you were one of several who dealt with THC LOADEE. Fortunately there was more than one of you. On Dec 10th last year I dealt with a vandal attack single handed. That’s a thankless task. If you get it right the chances are no one notices. If you block the wrong person under pressure or seem to block the wrong person under pressure you’re accused of sysop abuse. If you ever find yourself the lone defender against a persistent vandal look for other active sysops in recent changes and ask them in their talk pages to help. User:THC LOADE has just turned up. For the reason given above I’m not dealing with this single handed. Proxima Centauri 14:04, 2 February 2009 (EST)

- It's just a Gary Null fanboy who can't take the snarkiness of the article. Probably worth just directing them to Wiki4CAM and having done with it. ArmondikoVgnostic 10:09, 3 February 2009 (EST)
Your racist joke was funny[edit]
I forgot to mention it at the time, but - nice. Actually provoked me to a chuckle. I've been looking for a joke to have as one of those back-ups in case conversations fall flat, in an absent sort of way, and this'll do nicely. cheers. seventhrib 18:50, 9 February 2009 (EST)
- Just in case anyone reads this and thinks something bad, I have to point out that the joke in question was an example of a "racist" joke that actually pokes fun at the racist not the race. FYI, of course :P ArmondikoVgnostic 10:05, 10 February 2009 (EST)
- Ah, yeah, sorry, I didn't make that clear. To fully clarify, I'm not racist either. seventhrib 07:50, 11 February 2009 (EST)
- I know, just have to stick a disclaimer on in case any embarassing liberals show up and whine :P ArmondikoVgnostic 09:36, 11 February 2009 (EST)
- Ah, yeah, sorry, I didn't make that clear. To fully clarify, I'm not racist either. seventhrib 07:50, 11 February 2009 (EST)

Congrats, Armondikov—you're a bureaucrat now! Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 16:29, 17 February 2009 (EST)
- The site getting a bit too much for you all to handle is it? I should disappear for a month and go on an article creation drive more often :p ArmondikoVgnostic 05:40, 18 February 2009 (EST)

The Men Who Stare at Goats[edit]
Brilliant observation re: desensitising us to torture/making it seem not so bad--we saw the same thing last week when the media made a big deal out of the fact that the US locked a guy up with "an insect" as part of interrogation 'cause he had a phobia of bugs--makes the US seem not-so-bad, and the al-Qaeda guy looks like a weakling who's scared of ants or something. - I really wouldn't be suprised if that is the actual aim. Psycological operations have to take place on your own side just as much as they take place on your enemies. ArmondikoVgnostic 10:23, 23 April 2009 (EDT)

RE: TK Indefinite Block[edit]
I wasn't actually going to keep TK blocked forever. But, he made the mistake of actually e-mailing a bullshit explanation (more like a rant) about why my ip address is permanently blocked at CP. I didn't really care, but he was very hostile in his wording, so he put himself on my radar and has become my new punching bag here. It's fun to have a punching bag for all your frustrations. The Goonie 1 23:14, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
- Fair enough. It's really a non-issue but it may have become one while I was sleeping last night by the looks of Pi's intercom message. theist 09:36, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
