The Emperor Kneel before Zod! 00:20, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome, I've been lurking here for about a week. Great stuff.--PitchBlackMind 00:25, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Images[edit]
The images you uploaded are not in the public domain. They are copyrighted, and as such should be deleted. -- Nx/talk 17:32, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'll take your word for it since I'm new at this, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me and I have a couple questions if you don't mind. First, those images managed to be up on wikipedia, and I thought they had similar (if not identical) policies. Secondly, if I'm wrong (which I clearly must be) how does one find images in the public domain? Someone managed to find a non-copyrighted cover of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper, so where should I look for that stuff?--PitchBlackMind 17:44, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- If you look at their pages on WP, they claim fair use, since they have articles about those teams and the album. Wikipedia is very strict about this, and using these images on any page except those articles is forbidden. We are not, and we have a few copyrighted images that are used in userboxes. Basically we turn a blind eye, but I'd prefer we don't expand that collection, which is why I've tagged your images for deletion. For free images you should try commons, they only accept free images. -- Nx/talk 17:59, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, that explains the Wikipedia part. It's pretty weak that some images get a "blind eye" turned to them simply because they were uploaded earlier than mine (and likely by more respected users), but it isn't worth fighting about. Thanks for your help Nx, it's much appreciated. Sorry about the reckless uploading.--PitchBlackMind 18:04, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I know it's a stupid situation, but it was discussed countless times (and in one case, it wasn't really a respected user who uploaded them) and none of those discussion ended up with everyone satisfied. Problem is, we criticize Conservapedia for using fair use as a blanket permission to steal any image, so it's a bit hypocritical that we do the same. But yeah, you're right, it's not fair, and I've actually argued against the deletion of these images before, so if you replace them with smaller versions (the size you use in the userbox), I won't mind. -- Nx/talk 18:11, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent. I'll resize them and reup.--PitchBlackMind 18:38, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- And I realize my first response was neither friendly nor helpful, especially for someone new, so I apologize for that. -- Nx/talk 19:35, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't take offense. Besides, the whole thing got resolved within a half-hour. Thanks for your help, hopefully it won't take me too long to be competent at this wiki stuff.--PitchBlackMind 22:06, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Images can be really useful in making a point. The fact that we sometimes use copyright images and then criticise CP for doing the same thing may seem hypocritical but I think there is a difference. CP uses copyright images with claims of "fair use" in mainspace articles which are on permanent display, and often not covered by the fair use definition nor do they give atribution where it is required. I would guess that most images here that are copyrighted appear briefly on talk pages and are then archived. I'm not trying to justify it, just pointing out that there is a difference in intent. They incorporate copyrighted stuff to enhance their content, we normally use it as throw away lulz. 19:01, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi[edit]
Just thought I'd drop in to say "Hello". I disagreed with you on the smoking stuff, but it's always good to to have a variety of opinions to debate.
- Hello Bob! It wasn't really meant for debate, more for fun. Smoking is real fucking bad for you, that's indisputable fact. I get winded walking up stairs, and I'm in my early 20s. I only took issue with the article since it was clearly written by someone who doesn't smoke and apparently hates simply being around it. Which is fine, I just felt like it was lacking some lightheartedness :).--PitchBlackMind 17:37, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, like all the articles here it doesn't have any single author but it just something with is beaten out of the general consensus. Some of it is mine though. Smoking may have contributed to my father's death and, as an asthmatic who's quite sensitive to cigarette smoke, I must admit that I rather dislike the stuff. So, what can I say? You try to make your points and see if the community accepts them. :-) --Bobbing up 21:16, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Understandable. I'm well aware that smokers are in the minority everywhere, so I wouldn't expect much positivity when it comes to the subject. In all honesty, I think most of us at least partially loathe ourselves for doing it, since there's no question that we'll suffer health consequences in the future as a result. However, nothing is more irritating to smokers than non-smokers bitching about it. It almost makes one want to chain-smoke publicly out of spite :). And sorry about your father, that sucks. It will undoubtedly be my fate as well. Hopefully he was lucky enough to go quickly.--PitchBlackMind 21:48, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
- Cheers. Actually it was very unfair off me to mention my father. Sorry about that. :-) --Bobbing up 18:22, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- Not at all, I found it to be a valid statement. Things like that are what mold our views on some issues, and it's important to know what life experiences helped shape a person. I certainly didn't read it as if you were playing some kind of guilt card. Kudos on being scrupulous though, it's admirable. --PitchBlackMind 18:37, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I gotta intrude to say that I think I might have written most of cig smoking, and I pack away a carton of Camels every 6.6 days. I copied Doc's lung cancer pic from CP way back in the day for my userbox. Some of the cig-hate there might be meant as over-the-top parody... And hello and a belated welcome, EbonyTarLung. ħuman 01:23, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Overdue punishment[edit]
Since your edits have been largely of a productive nature, you are hereby demoted to janitor, partially due to the petitioning of some slut via the largely defensive weapon of pmail. There's a manual around here somewhere that everyone ignores. ħuman 01:17, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Over-ruled. Sorry Human but I have undone your syoping of this user and then reinstated it under my express authority. Thats the way I roll. Ace McWickedDisco Jesus 01:25, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Ace, ya mom is so fat we rode up on her back to get some burgers from Wendy's and her skates went flat. I got stuck in her butt crack. They thought I was lost but I was caught by the G-strap. Heaven forbid a giant fart would give way cause that would blow me round the world in a day. We drove into the drive-in and she didn't have to pay because we dressed her up to look just like a Chevrolet. User:Nutty Roux/sigtalk 01:50, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Nice! Posting videos from Bizarre Ride II Tha Pharcyde on my talk page is not only allowed, but encouraged.--PitchBlackMind 02:00, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Hows this? Ace McWickedi9 02:12, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah?

If only that video had Raekwon and Meth going through the torture methods at the beginning. But if it's early 90s hip-hop, I have to go with this. --PitchBlackMind 02:24, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hands down my favorite Nasty Nas jam. Shizzle. User:Nutty Roux/sigtalk 02:31, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- And that's a shame. Nothing like hearing those guys threaten to sew your asshole closed and keep feeding you, and feeding you, and feeding you. User:Nutty Roux/sigtalk 02:36, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Or telling you they'll put ya nuts on a dresser, just ya nuts, and bang that shit with a spiked fucking bat. Ace McWickedi9 02:38, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Dammit, I had just typed that one out and I got pwned on the edit conflict. Guess I'll have to settle for putting a hanger on a stove and letting that shit sit there for about half and hour and sticking it in real slow like sssssst. --PitchBlackMind 02:42, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

The end of the decade jam. When this record came out I was in grad school with a bunch of fucking club hopping binge drinking frat boys who didn't know how to just sit the fuck down in the back yard and drink a julep. When this record came out Common called himself Common Sense, still lived in Hyde Park, and shopped at my grocery store. User:Nutty Roux/sigtalk 02:46, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've been waiting for a new Black Star album for too long. At least Mos Def has a couple solid albums. --PitchBlackMind 02:51, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

- I think you meant to message Human with this man, because I have no idea what you're talking about. He mentioned the crucifix on your talk page.--PitchBlackMind 20:57, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Numerology[edit]
Thanks for your comment which I've put into the article here. Can you give a reference? Proxima Centauri 18:19, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm went ahead and added refs, with a couple notes on the talk page. --PitchBlackMind 19:15, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the references, I don't know what's Kosher as Human is the final arbiter here and second only to Tmtoulouse. I've reworded the section so it says there is a rumour, (partly so I could use a British spelling that's forbidden on Constipedia) but mainly so it's clear these references are just someone's opinion. I think with that disclaimer it should be Kosher. Proxima Centauri 06:48, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Copter/plane WIGO[edit]
I hope you don't mind, but I added to your entry to contrast it with the so-called "miracle on the Hudson". Totnesmartin (talk) 10:33, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- Certainly not. I've never looked at WIGOs as untouchable.--EcheNegraMente Is that a noose dressed like a necklace? 15:16, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Bombing article and all that[edit]
Could you please, not just beat up on newbies and delete their articles without explanation or discussing it first. We could have an on-mission article on that topic or a redirect. - π 01:17, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't mean to beat up on him, but the article was barely readable. Also, as you said (I should have mentioned this in my edit summary instead of you having to do it) there's several other articles that seem to fully cover this topic, most notably the debate page. --الملعب الاسود العقل When I look up the sky's all I see 01:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- That okay. I find it best to leave a note explaining why on their talkpage to help out, it takes people a while to settle in because we are a very unusual wiki. - π 01:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
