Block
- I have unblocked you from RationalWiki until such time as community consensus to reblock you. Also, Bigs didn't ask BatteryIncluded about Phobosgate, that was me. Don't get me wrong, I think you are unhealthily obsessed with this thing, but I also think that non-troll editors (including you) deserve wiki-due process. I'm sure that there are powerful forces at work, so I defended. I will respond if I have to. Where can I appeal? -- Bryan See (talk) 04:54, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Apologies to those who harass anyone.
I'm sorry for attacking and harassing you.[1][2]
- Oh come on, harassing RationalWikians is fun. Don't let these idiots get yo u down. Saint Petersburg (talk) 07:51, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
On your mental state and Phobosgate
The first step to reconsidering an idea is to recognize that it is just an idea. Phobosgate is just an idea. It might seem like concrete truth to you today -- but it is just an idea.
The second step to reconsidering an idea is to recognize the alternatives. Phobosgate is one explanation for the events you see. Alt-right propaganda is one explanation for the events you see. But there are other explanations. For example: Most of the people here have been here for years. Most of the people here are under 25. Most of the people here are very, very liberal. Editors here spend hours documenting the alt-right's drivel and Putin's fake news. If we are Kremlin stooges, we are remarkably poor ones. If we are white supremacists, we are under remarkably deep cover. This is just one example: consider alternatives, always.
The third step to reconsidering an idea is to recognize your limitations and powers. If the world is flat: so what? You can't over turn the deceitful sphere-earthist government overnight. If Putin has infiltrated internet wikis: so what? You can't over turn his mafia-style government overnight. If you want real change, then you need to buckle up for the long ride. You need to keep your life in order. You need to continue your studies. You need to make friends and connections. The truth alone is meaningless: but you can change the world, if you're willing to organize your life for the long haul.
I urge you to step back. Your ideas are controlling your life to the detriment of yourself. If you want to fight Putin, this is not the way. Phobosgate feels like a small-time conspiracy theory to us. Instead, focus on the big things that everyone should hate: Putin's corruption, his suppression of freedom, his support of violence.
And most importantly: make sure that you're in good health and good academic status. When Putin falls, you should be rising. FuzzyCatPotato of the Fanatical Politicians (talk/stalk) 07:47, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- @FuzzyCatPotato: Thank you for this advice. I think it's better for me to wean myself off Russian influence, and influence from white nationalists, alt-right and the Putin-played far left. But I do not want to be permabanned, put into sysoprevoke, de-autopatrolled, put into the vandal bin. -- Bryan See (talk) 07:59, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
