Happy St Patrick's Day[edit]
I don't know if you're Irish or English. But happy St Paddy's day anyway. SJ Debaser 14:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Cheers, Josh. Bit of both, and since part of Ireland still belongs to England I reckon you can celebrate it as well! --Ask me about your mother 15:53, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Fuck you with your Ulster loyalist bullshit. 86.40.210.123 (talk) 13:49, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Silence, or I'll go marching through a predominantly Cicero area. --Ask me about your mother 13:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- Cheers, same here, half Irish. You sound American there, confusing Britain with England! Pissing off the English nationalists! SJ Debaser 17:04, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Heh heh, the Scots and Welsh get on fine here, but you'd struggle to see a Union Flag being flown during festivals. The Welsh and Scottish ones go up when there's rugby and stuff like that. --Ask me about your mother 17:16, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
- Due to the depressing 15-15 draw last weekend in Six Nations between England and Scotland me and my Scottish housemate couldn't outright piss off one another. Sport does seem to be the only thing that creates negative tension between the UK nations. That and each countries nationalist movements, but as my Scottish friend said, "'kinell, could you imagine self rule for the Scottish? We'd kill ourselves within a week." SJ Debaser 17:34, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

PeTA[edit]
I just read your PeTA essay and like most British people the only stuff I know about them is from that episode of South Park. However, reading about what they've done shows them to be a pretty worthless organisation full of really gay hippy liberals that do nothing but sit around all day looking at the globe to find any place names that are animal related. Anyway, I google imaged Peta and saw the pictures. Instead of making me want to give up meat, they just made me horny. SJ Debaser 23:24, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's totally messed up. It reminds me of when I was at Uni and they union tried to organise people to go on protests. I decided to avoid their protests when I saw them pitching it as being "a great day out". Seems to miss the point of a protest, and I believe PeTA are guilty of similar reasoning. I'm sure that some of them are sincere, but the organisation as a whole are hypocritical attention seeking whores who turn animal rights in to some kind of sad joke. One TV documentary did more to change my mind than anything PeTA have done. --Ask me about your mother 23:40, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

- The High-B? Where's that? I visited most boozers, but can't remember many names!. I remember being in one tiny little pub, where the 'seats' consisted of benches/church pews around the wall, and the bog was in the back yard. Good pint and a nice open fire though. thanks[edit]
thanks for proof-reading the fraktur article. I really shouldn`t write drunk. It didn`t work back in school, it doesn`t work nowadays... Gmb (talk) 00:20, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- No worries. Interesting article and I'd never really given those typefaces much thought. I done learnt something. Writing when drunk is better than Warcraft when drunk. Odd stuff can be reverted, but a night spent wiping because the healer kept pressing the wrong buttons is more difficult to clean-up. --ConcernedResident Playstation, for the ladies 00:26, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- The trick is just the right ammount of intoxication. Our healer was useless when sober, and best after 4-6 beers or 2 joints. Gmb (talk) 00:30, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- My mistake is probably in thinking I can neck eight pints and respond faster than a glacier. Was funny a few times though when it worked, and I woke up the next day with barely any memories of the raid, but with some new epics. ConcernedResident handstand, for the ladies 00:34, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- That`s how I ended up with my very first WoW character. I installed it in the afternoon, but when it was finally finished, I had no time starting to play because there was a serious drinking binge waiting for me. When I logged in the next day, I found a level 18 human Paladin (back in the original days, when the Pala was utterly useless at everything with any single skill set). Gmb (talk) 00:40, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
- Heh heh. The things we do after a few drinks. Level 18 isn't bad though for the first day of play, at least back in the day. I spent a good part of my time standing outside Orgrimmar thinking it to be one of the most amazing things I'd ever seen in a game. --ConcernedResident exhaust pipe, for the ladies 01:05, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

But as you asked...
Also, re some kind of meetup in Ireland, I'd definitely be up for that but I've literally in the last few days finished my first year of uni, and have come out the other side looking pretty damn poor. I need to be working all summer to get enough money to buy tibdits like food and booze and pills for my second year (starting in September) and I'll be lucky if I get to go abroad in the next two years. However, I'll probably take a long weekend at some point this summer with my mates. We were talking about going to the south coast (they too, are poor) but I'll mention Ireland and see what they think. If I miraculously wind up in Dublin at some point this summer I'll get a train down to meet you.
Also, also, are your main characters on Warcraft all in the same realm?
Also, also, also, I farted in real life. SJ Debaser 12:19, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

- Cheers, would have responded earlier but I had to go shopping for a roll of carpet for this corpse. I'm skint right now, but let me know if you plan to visit. Dublin is also an option if you fancy seeing the capital. All my played toons are on Moonglade. Malon is the main these days. That fridge is a crime. You sure you didn't take a dump in it? - I've a strong dislike of Riverdance, which probably counts for something, but also I think we're oddly backwards in terms of religion and in taking care of this country. Hardly seems worth taking it back from the crown to only turn it in to shit. Out of curiosity, fancy hooking up if I'm up in Dublin? I need to get up there within the next couple of months, and I'm always interested in meeting the people behind the keyboard. Met a few Warcraft players in the past and it's been prett interesting. I am not a RWian, I am a troll who gets his kicks calling people names on the internetz, I don't think it'd be a good idea - for one thing I'd feel bad about trolling RW in the future, and that wouldn't do. I have a question about these two edits of yours [1] [2]. I usually indent like this to show I am replying to the previous comment. Are you replying to me or maybe you usually reply to anyone at the end, indented like this? I'm mainly concerned as to whether you mean to imply I am being abusive.[3] Lumenos (talk) 18:58, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
- Nah, both replies were to Weasel. I find talk page discussions confusing, and I normally just use a name to make it clear that I'm replying to someone if their comment doesn't immediately preceed mine. ConcernedResident omg ponies!!! 19:03, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Complete fucking waste of time trying to communicate with Philip, isn't it? 17:04, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- In fairness he went along with idea that saying that Christ was present at creation is problematic, and I'm pretty much avoiding getting in to debates over there, and it's pretty much pointless to get in to debates with someone who's clearly not going to budge on the basic premise that the answer to the origin of everything is a biblically literal "goddidit". I'll stick to the biblical analysis side of things, and avoid the more whacky YEC stuff. Should be nice to discuss some of this stuff with Christians. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 17:12, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Even that may be a problem. Philip's brand of presuppositionalism has him clinging more strongly to some ideas than others, which induces a feedback loop of stupid. Also, he's not much of a exegeticist or historian. But have fun. I think after a while you'll find that he both explains and debates so poorly that you don't leave the discussion with a better idea of what the basis of his position is or should be aside from a nannynannybooboo kind of literalism that doesn't lend itself to particularly expansive biblical analysis. 17:42, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

- No and ultimately that's why I think it's pointless to even talk to him. I just sort of use him as a means of exposing how untenable the creationist paradigm is, to use one of Ken's fav words. Things are ok. Just changed a big part of my business around and things are falling into place. Glad the business thing is going well. Work is busy as Hell for me, but I like it that way. Just need to sort out the personal life a little and then everything is pretty much perfect.
Ty for the heads up[edit]
Moved the TB article over to Essay :-) ~~Subsound~~
- No worries. Seemed a bit longer than the average off-mission article and I thought you might want to keep it. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 10:20, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
What's cracking?[edit]

You haven't fallen into the World of Warcraft again have you and neglected cleaning up after me here, have you? Also, I farted in reality as your userpage loaded. SJ Debaser 18:33, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
- Blimey, you have the guts of a 65 year-old retired boiled egg eating champion. Nah, mainly busy at work and trying to get back in to WoW a little more than before. Been working most evenings when I get home from work, but it's entertaining stuff. How's you anyway? Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 10:00, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I'm alright thanks. Been trying to make the most of summer and such. Going back to uni next week and the abusive drinking can start again. SJ Debaser 10:53, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
- Good luck next week. I'll try to get on a bit more to clean-up your noobitity. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 22:12, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Long overdue[edit]
“”I long suspected you to be a Beano character and the evidence is certainly mounting. All I need now is proof of you eating a pile of mash potato with sausages sticking out of it for my theory to be beyond doubt.

—You a few months ago [4] |
I made my mate take a picture of this just for you. And I went to all the trouble of cooking the mash myself. So you'd better find this bloody funny. SJ Debaser 18:02, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
"I've strong hopes for you in 2010."[edit]
[5] Two years running now. Huzzah! SJ Debaser 13:34, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- SJ, you farting monarch! Happy new year. I'm confident you'll get a third year. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 13:57, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi[edit]
Hi. Where you been?--BobSpring is sprung! 19:42, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Bob. Had a few things to work out in my head, and got somewhat occupied in other things. Glad to see familiar faces still here. I looked at the site over Christmas, saw the santa hat on the logo, and wondered if there'd be a drama splosion that'd cause an exodus. How're you anyway? Anything new? Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 19:45, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Full of fun. Remember I was attacked by a dog in August? Still on three hours phisio a week but things getting better. Working on a translation job at the moment. Bloody boring work but it's worth a few bob.
- The Santa hat caused less drama than last year. Human is the one who is really hat-negative but he was on temporary absence at the time for some wiki-reason, fortunately a surprising number of new editors appeared around that time who seemed to share his opinions and I think they had some comments about the hat as well. Strangely they all stopped contributing when he returned.
- Anyway, seeing as you are back I'm going to nominate you for something.--BobSpring is sprung! 19:56, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Right I've nominated you for this. I was going to do it before but I wasn't sure if you were still about.--BobSpring is sprung! 19:59, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- I'm very happy you're back CR. I won't lie, I've dreamed of you more than once since that one last year. SJ Debaser 20:14, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Cheers Bob, Josh. I'm trying to balance things a bit better now, since in the past I've tended to obsess with something before drifting away to obsess with something else, and I'm not sure I'd have the time that would need. Heh, I like the story of those mysterious editors. I'd forgotten about the dog attack - been a pretty busy few months at work. Where abouts did it get you? Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 20:15, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Just the right hand. I've got rather reduced mobility in the first two fingers but it's getting better. :-) Next enjoyable activity will be the court case. That sort of thing takes ages here and justice is sometimes a bit random. --BobSpring is sprung! 20:31, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- That's not just Spain, mate. The UK's just as shite justice-wise as it always has been. SJ Debaser 20:35, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- Having lived in both countries I've got to tell you that Spain is worse. Justice really takes years here. On the other hand the version of the NHS I have here is first class. I've got the best GP I've ever had in my life. Scheduled appointments and then: "Hi Bob, how are you? Have we taken your blood pressure recently? Anything else happening in your life? What's happening with X? And what can I do for you today?" It's unreal. On the other hand the fact that my wife is a nurse may help.--BobSpring is sprung! 20:52, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
- You married wisely! That is a good doctor. I've stuck with my current dentist and doctor for 10 years now, mainly because of the good treatment, but certainly because they're pleasant and friendly people to chat with. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 21:33, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
