Long story short, they left here and instead went and founded SJWiki. |₹Λ¥$€₦₦ Star of David.png: Antonio stella bottom tile 15:10, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, because "a proven track record of abysmal failure" is exactly what RW looks for in contributors. Peace. AgingHippie (talk) 15:38, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
They failed because their wiki was unpopular and closed to public editing, as far as I can tell. Bit like Citizendium, but not even popular at the start. RW doesn't have those issues, hopefully. Cømrade FυzzчCαтPøтαтø (talk/stalk) 15:41, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

Reverting Edits[edit]

When people revert an edit without any mention of why, they should be ignored, not sided with. 94.192.105.51 (talk) 17:24, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

"In the current economic system we..." Who is this "we" you're writing about? This website isn't the place for your manifesto. Peace. AgingHippie (talk) 17:26, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
No manifesto involved, just simple explanations. Obvious. What I wrote still stands: "When people revert an edit without any mention of why, they should be ignored, not sided with" 94.192.105.51 (talk) 17:30, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
When people make a bunch of opinions and blank out an article, without any explanation why, they are generally not sided with. -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 17:31, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
The editing was ongoing and no opinion, that was obvious. The article is extremely poor. New issues can be taken to the talk page. What I wrote still stands... "When people revert an edit without any mention of why, they should be ignored, not sided with" It stinks of arrogance and disrespect. 94.192.105.51 (talk) 17:43, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

I would never be so arrogant and disrespectful to revert an edit without a reason given, which is what you clearly did. 94.192.105.51 (talk) 18:03, 22 June 2015 (UTC)

No problem. Avengerofthe BoN (talk) 13:56, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
Just so you know, AH, I reinstated two weeks of sysop-level protection on the Zionism article. Paravant had protected it in the first instance, and then ChrisAmiss extended it to January. That last is too long, I agree, but the two weeks I've given it is necessary for the reason all three of us have sought protection, to wit: so that reasonable people who won't edit war and/or vandalize can polish the article without warring interfering. ADDING: I changed the level on your Israel protection for the same reason Paravant made Zionism and a few other articles sysop-level only: some otherwise sensible people won't refrain from edit warring and refusing to accept the majority's decision otherwise.---Mona- (talk) 15:11, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
The thing Mona fails to mention is: My humble self and Arisboch disagree with her on the issue of Zionism. And we both just so happen to have had our sysop rights taken away by Paravant, who shares Mona's views on Zionism. Avengerofthe BoN (talk) 16:01, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
You lost your sysop for being an idiot and aris list them because it was the most expediabt non-mod lock solution to the problem of edit wars. Saying it was because of your ideology is lying and you need to stop it.--"Paravant" Talk & Contribs 16:11, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
@Mona, 2 weeks is a bit long, a few days to a week is more ideal and I only picked long ones out of tiredness of edit wars.--"Paravant" Talk & Contribs 16:13, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
I really feel it will need two weeks, mostly because ChrisAmiss is a very busy student and has to ration the time he gives to the Zionism article, but still has stuff he wants to add (I can get to my finishing text this week); it'd be good if could do that in peace without being saddled with edit warring. "They" likely would repeat their behavior and I don't want Chris so frustrated he quits -- the guy knows a whole helluva lot.---Mona- (talk) 16:19, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

As for Avenger, it isn't even true that Paravant and I necessarily hold the same views on these issues; Paravant was prickly with me when I first arrived at RW and proceeded to have fits of outrage over what then appeared to be a rightwing Zionist lock on any article pertaining to Israel. Avenger and Arisboch's misbehavior escalated in close to direct proportion to the more that I, Chris and others were making successful arguments for our edits and these became increasingly incorporated in Israel-related articles. It is only in that way that Avenger's ideology has anything to do with the current state of affairs.---Mona- (talk) 16:26, 3 October 2015 (UTC)

For the record, I am not right wing. Avengerofthe BoN (talk) 16:30, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
Yes, you are. Liberal on pelvic issues, or even econimic ones, doesn't remotely begin to redeem your authoritarian and illiberal views on things like collective punishment and hyper-nationalism. But your label is ultimately irrelevant -- your views were not the reason for your demotions; your behavior is.---Mona- (talk) 16:38, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
Hyper-nationalism? This probably the last thing any of the people who personally know me would ever accuse me of. For the record, I have publicly advocated (on this site) for the removal of two nation-states (Iran and Saudi Arabia) already and I will now up the ante and add a third one: Let's get rid of Germany. Today is a good day to say so. Avengerofthe BoN (talk) 16:42, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
You are uber-nationalistic in your view of the State of Israel, which you most assuredly do not want to abolish. Your fantasies about other nation-states are irrelevant, and quite silly. And now. I'm reverting to my usual (never invariable) practice of ignoring your prattle.---Mona- (talk) 16:51, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
Could you please enlighten my how calling for a state that killed six million Jews (to say nothing of the millions of other victims) to be removed from existence as a polity is "silly"? At least compared to advocating for the end of a state that was explicitly founded as a place of refuge for those that escaped these murderous attempts of the state of Germany to have a world without Jews? And if your justification at some point involves human rights... Well human rights are precisely the grounds on which I call for a removal of all current powerful structures both in the Islamic Republic (and for that matter in the self-proclaimed "Islamic state") and in Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabi state must be wiped off the map. And the Iranian regime must disappear in the trash heap of history. Do you have any compelling reason why not? Avengerofthe BoN (talk) 17:01, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
