Nothing under "Z"? Interesting. 86.20.255.1 (talk) 03:37, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
We have Category:Racists[edit]
This category overlaps with Category:Racists. We need to scrub this category of racist people and organizations, keeping just the ideas and other concepts that are held as racist. And on the other hand, I do think we should create a similar split with Category:Sexism. We don't have Category:Sexists. This also seems to apply to Category:Homophobia and Category:Homophobes.--It's-a me, šLeftyGreenMario!š 19:13, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- @LeftyGreenMario Agreed, doing so will help our haphazard category system further. As the person who first advocated the Category cleanup plan I support this motion. āComrade GCāMinistry of Praise 19:16, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- What about people who are pertinent to racism but aren't themselves racist, say your Ta Nessi Coateses or your Nelson Mandelas. ikanreed šBleat at me 19:22, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Ikanreed Create a category called "Anti-racists" or perhaps "Civil rights"? āComrade GCāMinistry of Praise 19:25, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- Yep, I think anti-racist activists including known abolitionists should be there, as they're part of the story of racism, in combating it. If there's enough of those activists, perhaps they can get their own category, as what GrammarCommie proposed. "Anti-racist" might be too broad stroke as most people are opposed to racism. Edit: Category:Civil rights is there. --It's-a me, šLeftyGreenMario!š 19:26, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- On a slightly related topic can we move Category:Anti-LGBT bigots, Category:Transphobia, and Category:Homophobia into an umbrella category? Also we should remove Category:Alt-lite and Category:Alt-right from Category:Transphobia, as that's not really the main thrust of those movements. āComrade GCāMinistry of Praise 19:34, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- Rename Category:Anti-LGBT bigots to Category:Anti-LGBTQIA+ bigots and put those phobias under that new umbrella name. Yes, the abbreviations look a little silly, but Q - Queer, I - Intersex, and A - Asexuals; + is everything else. I think transphobia overlaps with alt-right and alt-lite, as transgender rights fall under "social justice", so it's fine. --It's-a me, šLeftyGreenMario!š 19:41, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- @LeftyGreenMario I moved the category but left a redirect for now, given that we need to re-tag all of the articles in the old page. āComrade GCāMinistry of Praise 19:55, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
