Admit it. You have heard this saying several times in your life. A term often used as a form of apologism for insane or bigoted views, such as sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, climate change denial… the list could go on, but what they all have in common is that, rather than merely being harmless opinions that aren't worth getting into huge arguments over, these views can and do directly lead to people getting very badly hurt, and thus anyone who holds them needs to be regarded as a menace to humanity.

If one was to earn money from this saying, they would be rich.
