RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

A suppressive person, in Scientology-jargon, is any person (or organization) that campaigns against Scientology, or someone who has been declared "suppressive" by those higher in the Church of Scientology organization. Scientologists believe that any action taken against Suppressives is fair gameWikipedia's W.svg and morally acceptable. People declared suppressive can find that their lives are ruined, with Scientologists going to extreme lengths to ruin a Suppressive's reputation, personal life, and psyche.

In the official Scientology definition a suppressive person is somebody with an antisocial personality, which (according to L. Ron Hubbard) covers about 2.5% of the population. In actuality, the Church of Scientology uses the label mainly for critics and for perceived enemies and rivals of Scientology.
