There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change
| It's gettin' hot in here|
The Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change is not so much a "center" as it is a family-run global warming denialism operation. It was founded by Craig Idso, who heads the center and runs it along with his father Sherwood and brother Keith. Their credentials are related to plant science and agriculture. They put out their own "peer-reviewed" journal called CO2 "Science" where they extol the virtues of rising carbon dioxide levels. They received a buttload of money from oil and coal interests back in the '90s and 2000s, naturally.
They set up a project called the "Medieval Warm project," which collected various temperature reconstructions in an attempt to demonstrate that the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than today. In reality, what they did was comb through mountains of actual research, pull out data, and then cherry-pick it and fiddle with the values on graph axes to conduct their "research."
Here's the "CO2 experts" informed take on global warming:
So, let's give peace a chance. Let's give plants a chance. And, while we're at it, let's give all of the world's national economies a chance as well. Let's let the air's CO2 content rise unimpeded, and let's let the peoples of the world reap the multitudinous benefits that come from the God-given - and scientifically proven — aerial fertilization effect of atmospheric CO2 enrichment. Let's live and let live. And let's let CO2 do its wonderful work of promoting world peace via the planet-wide prosperity that comes from enhanced agricultural productivity.
