Keep typin', y'all! --Kels 18:06, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Hey, could the discussion move to the discussion page now? -- Stevo (talk) 18:15, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Oh, if it must! By the way, what's supposed to go on this project page, then? --Kels 18:17, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Excellent, most excellent (rubbing hands together gleefully), we have hidden the history of the "new admins by fiat" conservapediaesque coup d'etat from mortal eyes! (checks out the new levers that sprouted out of his monitor, hmm, what's this one do?) humanbe in 18:22, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
So which one of us should de-admin Tmtoulouse, ColinR and Linus? I vote we try to trick Airdish into doing it. --jtltalk 19:05, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Muwahhhah hah...--DoxXox-DawkT0wk 19:06, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Sounds good to me ;) How about we also make TK a sysop, but undo it every time he logs in? Can we tell when he logs in? Oh, that would be mean. Let's just make him a sysop and not tell anyone... Shit, I just did. humanbe in 20:41, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Shit, who decide to give me this measly power? ɢяаѕsyodelβЯæкΔωwΝ 20:43, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Let's break something! Like Airdish's ridiculous sig file. Or a goat's leg, maybe. Mmmm, goat. I'm trying to catch up with you, dish, with my all-British menu of intoxicants (Bass & highland single malt). let's a make a special place for admins to conspire! How do we do that? humanbe in 20:56, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Hey, Airdish, follow this link:[1] --jtltalk 20:48, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
hehe. i'm not making him trent shinawatra. ɢяаѕsyodelβЯæкΔωwΝ 20:52, 28 June 2007 (CDT)
Damnation! Oh, well, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have worked anyway -- there was also what looked like a crypto-strong token which would presumably have been double-checked...almost like the MW folks had thought of that attack or something. --jtltalk 20:55, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

Helios for Bureaucrat?[edit]

Pros:

  • Lots of edits.
  • Probably won't ever actually do anything with his power.
  • Is a Greek Sun God.
  • Likes goats.
  • Somewhat productive.

Cons:

  • Annoying.
  • Can't restrain from being mean to CP sysops who were mean to him on CP.
  • Is an occasional vandal.

Just think about it please? ɧєɭıסş-get sunburn! 02:20, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

I have no idea what these "bureaucrat" demotions bring, and I is one, but I support this dumbass user getting them. Whatever they are. humanbe in 02:55, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
Nah, if HoG got sysop and I didn't (after my outrageously successful manipulation and defeat of TK) then sorry, me no vot-ee Helios. Spica 05:16, 2 July 2007 (CDT)
See bolded "Con" above. His annoying campaigning is getting on my nerves. Can't we just make him Site Owner and get it over with? humanbe in 19:39, 5 July 2007 (CDT)
Sorry, but no one is even posting here so... ɧєɭıסş-get sunburn! 20:34, 5 July 2007 (CDT)
I'm voting no because no one should have such worldly as well as other-wordly powers. If he descends to human form (or gives me a golden fleece) then I may change my mind. ДιЯɖі$ɧ ɥοםЄʟβЯƏакĐΩωΝ 03:56, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Well, at least I got checkuser. ɧєɭıסş-get sunburn! 23:36, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
There's really no need for more bureaucrats. Checkuser, however, is a different matter :). --Linus(plot evil tech) 23:43, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Helios for Monkey? Seems a strange demotion... humanbe in 00:05, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

The pragmatist rears his ugly head[edit]

So uh how might we turn this into something useful? Tmtoulouse 15:52, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

No Harry Potter spoiling, OK, y'all?[edit]

There're already spoilers out on the web, 'parently. If anyone spoils it, Sterile will become angry! ŠтΈṜȳŁЁand...? 15:12, 16 July 2007 (CDT)

Want me to add harry potter to the spam filter till august? 24.141.169.255 15:13, 16 July 2007 (CDT)

If anybody even thinks about thinking about spoiling it, I will hunt you down and murder you and your family. And yes, add HP to the spam filter, along with "Dumbledore, Snape, Voldemort", etc. --ηοξιμαχονγ 15:14, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
I support this policy. :nods: --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 15:15, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
It was Greystache. ДιЯɖі$ɧ ɥοםЄʟβЯƏакĐΩωΝ 15:16, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Someone had better edit the slogans, then. One HP slogan only: "Committed to keeping the Grand Harry Potter secrets secret". By the way, she is a he, he's really dead, and HAL was a victim of child abuse. humanbe in 15:21, 16 July 2007 (CDT)
Titanic spoiler: The boat sinks.
Passion spoiler: Some guy gets killed after much flogging.
Star wars spoiler: Being a conservative, Senator Palpatine prohibited sex education in the Empire. Condoms were not distributed and a young man was never taught the facts of life (apparently being a virgin birth himself, chances are his mother didn't know either). Problems ensue.

Google page one[edit]

Aaaand we're on google page one when "conservapedia" is the sole search word... [2] Life is sweet. Totnesmartin 09:19, 2 August 2007 (CDT)

Threats and copyright[edit]

Okay, this is hilarious. Andy stated often enough that he's no fan of copyright and that CP's re-use policy is so much looser than evil WP's... and now he sends copyright infringement notes?

And TK accusing us of copying articles for the Blatant Plagiarism section, which mostly(?) documents HIS copyright violations... yeah, that's hilarity right there.

Kudos to Trent's reply, though! --Sid 15:41, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

The irony of TKs link is too much, I have find it hard to believe. tmtoulouse beleaguer 16:11, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
I find it nice how the copyright policy interpretation suddenly switched from "Conservapedia grants a non-exclusive license" to "You may not copy our shit unless we explicitly say so" --Sid 16:24, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
90 percent talk 10 percent edits=10 percent talk 90 percent edits. tmtoulouse beleaguer 16:28, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
What's funny is that taking the stuff down would probably be met with accusations of censorship!--Bayes Factor 19:45, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
Or taunts about how we took down things because they were wrong or completely baseless. --Sid 20:27, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

I didn't know where Trent put the links to Schlafly's e-mails but they're on my user page as of... now!-αmεσ (!) 20:28, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

Promotion for Airdish[edit]

It turns out I just don't have the time to do properly fulfill my meagre duties, so I am hereby applying for promotion to Sysop (or higher) so that these god-like powers may be used by someone who may actually use them. airdish 02:19, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

You got it backwards! You're asking for a promotion, to "regular user" eh? I have the powerz, ask if you me you wish the promotion to "regular user". It can always be undone... humanbe in 03:02, 29 August 2007 (CDT)
Please promote me to Sysop. I wanted to request it here so that a decision could be made as to whether or not to replace me as Bureaucrat. Cheers! airdish 10:34, 29 August 2007 (CDT)
Did anyone act on this yet? humanbe in 15:24, 5 September 2007 (CDT)

Blast Magazine[edit]

Reasonably fair I thought. Nice to get some publicity. --Bobbing up and down 09:29, 5 September 2007 (CDT)

Eh, I thought it beneath the dignity of the word 'journalism'. It's mostly repeating quaternary sources, repeats a typo (sights for sites) I've seen elsewhere (or did I read this before?) and indicates no "fact-checking" - ie, finding out that PAL did not found RW. In other words, typical "web filler". At least the author did read and quote our mission statement, although we don't "admit" to allowing OR - we encourage it and boast of it. humanbe in 15:23, 5 September 2007 (CDT)
It wasn't brilliant though, just found it and thought it might interest people. tmtoulouse beleaguer 15:26, 5 September 2007 (CDT)
Not criticizing you, just the author/"publication". We should track any mention of RW that we don't create ourselves. Hmm, I just talked a newspaper editor today and mentioned our chickenhawk article, which he looked at. And he likes freelance contributions... hmmm.... humanbe in 15:39, 5 September 2007 (CDT)
Muahhahah...its mine! all mine!!! Um, hey, Trent, isn't that my server you got there? Thanks for taking the credit for all the hard work i put into moving and reconnecting all teh tubes.--PalMD-Berate Me 15:12, 13 September 2007 (MDT)

I'm Baaaaaa-ck!![edit]

Your local friendly Hiver from Spica star system is back! WTF has been going on? Ama I a sysop yet? Where's TK? PalMD? Helloooo?? Spica 17:19, 30 September 2007 (EDT)

Last I saw of PalMD, he was bitching about not getting bought dinner.....TK is about.....and a NEW CONTEST! has started on CP. ----ИїģḥŤ¤Ṭŗáìṇ ♦Τάļќ ǃ 17:29, 30 September 2007 (EDT)

Rollback[edit]

Of course I understood "what the new button does". I was merely feigning naivety to both demonstrate its function to others and to inspire an explanation to be written for new users. And anyone who says otherwise is a dirty communist! Feebas factor 15:24, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

Also I posted it on the project page instead of the talk page so I could... demonstrate once again the proper use of a the "rollback" function! Feebas factor 15:26, 14 October 2007 (EDT)

A useful page[edit]

This would seem to be a useful page which is underused. BostonTeaParty 12:35, 29 March 2008 (EDT)
